STEAM FRAME UPDATE
Valve’s PCVR showcase games have been tested with Steam Frame’s standalone compatibility system! Valve is interestingly testing the original x86 builds of these games rather than specially ARM made ones.
The Lab is “Verified”, and Aperture Hand Lab is “Playable”.

STEAM FRAME UPDATE
Valve has updated the Steam Frame verification system so 2D games are no longer tested for the native display resolution requirement meant for VR games. On top of this, Portal 2 is now Verified instead of Playable.

As a reminder, Steam Frame is able to play x86 Windows builds fully standalone on its ARM SteamOS build thanks to Proton and FEX

Valve seems to be working on a new “Aurora” VR environment option that includes fully rendered star models 💫
It does not work yet, but datamining shows that you will be able to customize multiple aspects of the Aurora such as its brightness, animation speed, height, and colors
