@100kDiary So- someone with nowt starts at the bottom. They need a car. What do they do? Borrow. Borrow on a used car, even one as low as £5k is potentially as expensive as a new one when you factor in repairs and risk of breakdown.

Unpopular opinion: Leasing a brand new car is the most financially illiterate thing normalised in the UK. You're paying £500/month for something that loses 40% of its value by the time you hand it back. Then you sign up for another one. A £5,000 used car does the exact same job. Gets you from A to B. @GP1867 And it’s been that way for decades, yet still got back to Champ.your assertion you’d need £100m just to get back was over dramatic. To be as good as United- yes, £100m might be the amount, but to be a basic champ club it’s probably a quarter of that.

@Neilcolclough You're missing the point. The stadium alone is no beyond neglected its untrue. And we have 7 players as it stands for next season. Don't even get me started on training ground, facilities, medical staff, recruitment staff, academy staff etc etc etc
