It is so difficult to understand why Trump launched his Iran operation - an op so clearly damaging to US national interests, the global economy, Ukraine and the US’ closest allies in Europe and the Gulf. Then there is this….

5 minutes before Trump’s announcement: * $1.5B notional worth of S&P500 (ES) futures are bought in a single clip. * $192M notional of oil futures (CL) sold. More than 4x-6x any other trade size during the market close. Insiders profited from his lies in broad daylight!

Labeling every American of the opposition political party as an enemy to the country may be the most un-American thing any president has ever said. Dangerous.

Trump declares almost 50% of Americans to be public enemy number one – right after Iran. This is no longer politics; this is open civil war from the mouth of a president. Anyone who brands half of their own people – millions of ordinary Americans who simply vote differently – as the "greatest enemy" hasn't understood America; Trump hates it. This rhetoric isn't "tough," it's treacherous. It destroys precisely what makes America strong: the idea that Americans, despite all their differences, are one nation. Trump has just proven that he doesn't want to be president of all Americans – but merely the leader of a faction that considers the rest the enemy. Insane. And extremely dangerous.

I've been in the acceptance phase of losing my faith for a few months. Anger, depression, sadness, completely gone. I couldn't even summon them up. Then suddenly they came back. And I apologize for taking it out on some of you. Here are a few things I let affect my peace of losing my faith that happened the last couple weeks: My dad stopped by unannounced and told me I'm the last son standing (He doesn't know I don't believe and I have two brothers who left the church). He can't fathom why they wouldn't believe anymore. He's also a temple worker and asked me why I haven't renewed my temple recommend and that he keeps dreaming of seeing me come through those doors. I made the excuse that I don't have time, life is busy, I'll get on it, etc. A couple hours after he left, he sends me a long text telling me I need to go to the bishop and get my life right again and return to the temple. Apparently he thought my responses meant I was unworthy. There's an anger I felt swell up in me again that I haven't felt for awhile -- not at my dad, he has the best intentions and is an amazing guy -- but at the church that created this system with such family pressure. I can't talk to my dad without him being worried about me going to the temple, or him asking why my brothers don't believe. And I can't be honest with him because I can't break his heart for him to know his last son standing isn't actually standing anymore. The week after, my wife and I had serious talks about what do we do. The kids are now feeling like they don't fit in anymore. We moved into one of the most strict Mormon wards in Utah County 4 years ago. And our kids have never made good connections here. They know we don't believe the same as the other parents. They feel judged and out of place now going to church. We were staying for community and the community isn't working. My wife and I last week had a long conversation about what do we do with the church, which we've had 1,000s of times in the last 3 years. But it now seemed like we can't sit on this fence anymore. It's teaching our kids the wrong thing. We're not living authentically and the kids can see our inconsistency with what we believe, what we tell people. Integrity and honesty matters more than conformity and belief. So we decided to have a family meeting to discuss how we're going to take a step back from activity in the church. Not to leave the church but to detox and think. It's optional to go if they want to go, and we might do things instead, like go to other faiths, learn how other cultures find meaning, etc. And maybe we'll move. My wife and I felt great about taking this step. But as soon as we did it, I got angry and depressed and sad again. It was no longer about disbelieving now, it was a real next step that risks a sense of belonging, certainty, doing something meaningful beyond life, losing the future plans we had about a family with missionaries, temple, etc. Thoughts raced like: Why did this have to be so all or nothing? Why did something that shaped my entire life turn out to be untrue? Why do we have to address this and manage any potential fallout with our kids. And maybe I didn't understand how much grief I was carrying until we finally let go with this step. Guilt of potentially fracturing the story in our family, figuring out who we are now as a family. We decided to step back to protect our kids, our integrity, yet it still feels like a loss, even though it feels like the right move. The combination of all this hit me again like it hasn't for a long time. And I've taken it out on people on this platform like I haven't for a long time.

TRUMP: “One thing I’ve noticed is that the more windmills a country has, the more money that country loses and the worse that country is doing. China makes almost all of the windmills. And yet, I haven’t been able to find any wind farms in China.” FACT: China has by far the largest installed wind power capacity in the world — more than any other country.
