@channelstv As a muslim, i support this..Shariah law in the North isnt the actual Shariah law rather an Oppressive one where it is used as a tool to suppress Northerners while their elites break all the laws...Nigeria is a Secular State under One Constitution...SHARIAH LAW MUST BE BANNED!!!

The Abduction of Sunday Ifedi and Calista Ifedi by DSS Sunday Ifedi and Calista Ifedi, a couple from Ezeagu community in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu state, were taken from their home in Enugu on 23 November 2021 by state security agents. For over four years now, their whereabouts have remained unknown. According to their 21-year-old daughter, the couple were taken by DSS officials to answer certain questions. They never returned. They were abducted because the DSS wanted to question them over alleged IPOB membership. She narrated the harrowing experience of the disappearance of her parents to Amnesty International in Enugu: “My father, Sunday Ifedi, is a furniture maker while my Mum, Calista Ifedi, is a teacher. They have three children. I am 21 years. The second one is 19, while the last one is 17. There is also our cousin who was living with us because her father is late. The DSS took my parents. We do not know where they are. I have not even heard from them. The last information I got is that my parents were taken to Abuja. “When we got there, the DSS said we could not enter. Since my parents’ abduction, things have been exceedingly difficult for us. I had to drop out of school to engage in menial jobs, so I can take care of my younger ones. I suddenly became both a mother and father. The government should please release my parents”. Sign the petition now and demand their whereabouts: amn.st/60107VGc2 #JusticeforSouthEastNG #JusticeforSouthEastNG

My neighbor is 84 and lost his wife last year. He has no kids and I noticed he stopped cooking and barely turned his lights on. He was just fading away. So now, every single night when I cook dinner for my family, I make an extra plate and walk it over. We sit on his porch for 20 minutes and just talk. He told me yesterday that our little chats are the only reason he gets out of bed. It costs me nothing but a little food and time, but it means the world to him.

🛑THIS IS THE GOSPEL TO NORTHERN IMAMS: A retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sheriff Abubakar Rabiu, yesterday lit a fire under Northern Nigeria’s religious establishment with a blistering open letter that has gone viral across mosques. He spit it out raw "I am accusing a section of Northern Islamic clerics of “poisoning the minds of our youth with vituperative, inciting and dangerously divisive sermons” that have turned pulpits into platforms for open warfare against Christians". "Nobody has the key to Jannatul Firdausi except Allah,” Sheriff thundered. “Yet any Tom, Dick and Harry with myopic knowledge of Islam wakes up, grabs a microphone and starts calling our Christian brothers ‘Arna’, ‘Kafurai’, ‘infidels destined for hell’. This is not Islam. This is madness. "And this madness gave birth to Boko Haram.” "An idle mind is the devil’s workshop,” he wrote. “Those street children you see begging today are tomorrow’s recruits, dummies and foot soldiers for every new terrorist franchise that promises them paradise for killing ‘infidels’.” “Instead of shouting ‘Trump is Islamophobic’, let us go back to our drawing board. Why did America put us on that list? Because some of our preachers behave like they are above the law. Let them Try that kind of sermon in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, even Cameroon – you will be arrested and executed the same day. "But here in secular Nigeria they insult Christians from Friday to Friday and nobody touches them.” On this note I am issuing a direct challenge to President Bola Tinubu: order the National Assembly, all 19 Northern governors and 774 local government chairmen to enact iron-clad laws that criminalise: – Calling any Nigerian an “arne” or “kafir” from the pulpit – Street begging by children (Almajiri) – Hate speech disguised as religious preaching “Do this sincerely,” Sheriff warned, “and America will see we are serious. Fail, and we invite the same digital war machinery that turned Afghanistan and Iraq into graveyards.” If we implement these measures, Nigeria will return to the peace we enjoyed in the early 1970s to 90s when Muslims and Christians drank from the same cup, married each other’s sisters and buried each other’s dead.”

I was in Sokoto for my NYSC in 2012 as a pharmacist. I was serving at the Specialist Hospital located in the state capital, with the HIV clinic at the hospital. The entire pharmacy department had ONLY 2 pharmacists - one Hausa man who was the HOD & one Yoruba Christian man, Pharm. Stephen, who was my supervisor at the time. Some months later, the HOD got a job with WHO & had to resign, so we had no HOD; hence, no one to coordinate & lead the pharmacy department in a big & important hospital as the specialist hospital, which was the major general hospital in the state capital. For several months, the department didn’t have a HOD simply because they found it so impossible to make a Yoruba Christian to lead a pharmacy department in a core northern state. Guess what? They made a store keeper who couldn’t even recognize paracetamol or doesn’t know the difference between Amicillin & Tetracycline, & had no university education whatsoever, as the HOD of the department. So Pharm Stephen had to start reporting to him. I almost wanted to run mad. This was the most demeaning thing I had ever seen in my life. After a few months, Pharm Stephen had to leave Sokoto where he had worked for almost 9 years & built a family to come to South West to start all over. This was one of the many experiences that made me give up on the one Nigeria thing - it’s all a charade.

Christian students in Federal University Kashere in Gombe state have been suffering since the inception of the school. There's no single Chapel for Christian students and lecturers but there are dozens of mosques in the school. Pls @ZariyiYusufu @SpiricocoNg @lekan_olayinka1

TRUE LIFE STORY Opportunity meets preparedness. So we attended an Heirs Insurance event in Lagos on Saturday with personalities like Tony Elumelu (He needs no introduction), Nonso Okpala GMD VFD group in attendance etc. The MC of the event randomly calls for people in the crowd to come sing, dance with Heirs Insurance name. This young man in the video comes to the stage, sings his heart out and wows everyone. We are all stunned and impressed. Tony Elumelu wowed by him, comes up and gifts him 1,000,000 naira, Nonso Okpala gifts him 1,000,000 naira, every other person starts gifting this young man. MC even got jealous. 😀 Now the story is this…. This young man was homeless, no job, nothing. He’s educated but life was not working for him. Infact he said he came around for the event hoping to get free food. He was just at the right place at the right time. His life changed forever

My experience is that almost everyone is knowledgeable and smart. People just need the right networks to enter doors. Call it connection. I call it network. Nigerian youths are one of the smartest people ever! Many just need the opportunity (connection) to thrive.

Are we back to the days of the use of state powers to clamp down on the voices of truth. What exactly is the crime of the Facebook page, Southern Kaduna People? Someone should help me run through that page, please 🙏🏿 Luis Amos and Godwin Yakubu were tracked and detained officers of Operation Yaki in Kaduna yesterday for something they are yet to understand.
