@congressdj I mean, the Model S and X were the cultural icons of Tesla—the cars that put the brand on the map and basically defined what the company stood for. But they barely even hit 3% of total deliveries anymore… so yeah, I hate to say, it makes sense to kill them off. 💔

Tesla made it very clear tonight. It doesn’t have any intention of being a car company in 5 years. Tesla’s future is a chip fabricating, Robotaxi making, Optimus pumping leviathan that, in Elon’s words, will significantly impact the US GDP.
They said it all starts now, 2026. 🚀

@Teslarati I love my Model X and was looking forward to replacing it with a new Model X Plaid. My wife has a Model Y but it is too small for me. I will unfortunately have to look elsewhere when the time comes to replace it

@Teslarati yes, until he starts to actually scale Robotaxi, I think he’s getting ahead of his skis, but that’s Elon. Hopefully he knows something I don’t. I’m sure he does but still makes me a little bit nervous plus I’d love to have an S or X to drive me around
