@MarcKingGrant I mean sure. Everything you just said is what points to where the money is. My thinking is yea you can make a new game. That’s cool. But why not make a new quake? Use the doom engine. Spice things up a bit. Make quake great again.

@NeoEmc2 ID software's Doom reboot still got a >trilogy< of games, even if TDA has mixed reception I think it's because Doom is a proven IP that people show positive hype for whenever a new game or DLC gets announced, they just have to figure out how to make launch sales more than TDA

If PS6 is going to cost close to $1000, I think Sony needs as much good will from its most dedicated fans as possible. It’s often the hardcore fans that evangelize something and influence a wider audience to pick it up. So I think Sony should also listen to its most dedicated fans too IMO.
