@Steezehuman thats the neat part, you don't. You're not leveled up enough to afford an apartment/house solo. If u have to leave the fam nest, then find uncomfortable ways to make it work until u can gradually level up.

Seeing $28 lunch floating by on the feed made me wonder if I was out of touch, so I checked chipotle around here, not a cheap area. Burritos are still $10.50, and more food than I can eat in one sitting. What are y'all doing?

@emmamurabito @rjrcapital It’s a truthful trend. Got kids at my work who do late shift making $20-22 an hr and they door dash every working night! I had a roommate living with me couple years ago. 22 year old. Door dashed dinner 3-4 days a week. I’ve never door dashed. Ever.

@emmamurabito A few times a month, that’s not the issue. We got idiots who rip thru $20-30 a day in quick food related spending (take out, door dash, convenience stores..etc). That’s the argument. That’s the push back. Costs are up. It’s brutal! But..people are also stupid w/ their spending

@xaviersonline_ So I got these younger adults (20+) at work who do the evening shift. They door dash practically every day. They make about $20-$22 an hour. Are they not accountable for wasteful spending or is it always someone else to blame?

the problem with budget grocery shopping for a single person is that you constantly have too many bananas or potatoes that are rapidly going bad

There is a 100% chance you will FALL IN LOVE with Ground Beef if you make it like this: (This stays good for DAYSSSS in the fridge) Ingredients - 96/4 Ground Beef (You can use a fattier option if you prefer) - 1 packet Old El Paso taco seasoning per every 2 lbs - Splash of water (2-3 tbsp) - Splash of olive oil - Salt & pepper Equipment - Large nonstick pan - Wooden spoon or spatula Instructions 1) Preheat your pan over medium-high heat for about 1 minute — you want the oil hot and shimmering but not smoking 2) Add a splash of olive oil and swirl it around to coat the surface evenly 3) Add the ground beef to the pan — it should sizzle slightly on contact 4) Break it up immediately with your spoon or spatula into small crumbles 5) Season lightly with salt and pepper as it cooks 6) Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is mostly browned and no pink remains 7) Add the taco seasoning and stir well to coat the beef evenly 8) Add a splash of water (2-3 tbsp) if the mixture looks dry — this helps the seasoning blend in and coat the meat 9) Cook for another 1-2 minutes — stirring constantly until the beef is fully coated and the liquid has mostly evaporated 10) Taste and adjust with extra salt or pepper if needed 11) Turn off the heat and let the beef rest in the pan for 1 minute 12) Serve this seasoned ground beef in tacos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, eat it by itself, etc OR store for later use ENJOY

You know what’s crazy? People are ignoring the ending. Hughie and Annie, considered heroes and are free to live their lives, and they even have a baby on the way. Kimiko, who was tortured for years in a cage and then treated like a criminal, is now finally enjoying herself freely in France. Marvin got his family back without anyone chasing him, plus Ryan is now with him. the grandson of the man who destroyed MM’s childhood and shaped his entire trauma Then there’s Butcher who lost himself long before he died, that Dog was the only thing that brought out his humanity since S3 Vought no longer holds the same level of power over the world Calling all of this “trash” just because Homelander didn’t level cities or massacre thousands of people is crazy

@ItsGoneAwry Big advocate for home cooked meals and against wasteful spending (unless you have disposable income that doesn’t impact you too greatly) but instapot. I have one. Never use it for anything other than rice. Instructions/recipes always blunder me.

No time for making dinner? GET A FREAKING INSTANT POT. It will change your life. If you can afford DoorDash you can afford an Instant Pot. You’ll save a bazillion dollars a year.

Got my 2nd order of fragrances from @Xyrena and love that those cheeky bastards include an air head candy. Interesting scents btw. Enjoy their uniqueness but can’t wear either except for rare situational settings for specific vibes.

@FAmmiranteTFJ Occasional treats are fine and often needed but it’s when you make it a daily habit and have blinders on not realizing the money you’re bleeding.

@ehnd123 @CatholicCharm @M1ckM1k3y No, but $15-20 in a work week is common. Morning coffee run, lunch at cafe at office, snack/drink at gas station. Add whatever you may spend on weekend enjoyment, frivolous spending adds up. We all need to enjoy ourselves but we all spend more than should on needless stuff

@CatholicCharm @M1ckM1k3y I love when they bring up the math and literally no one is spending $28/day on lunch. The average person is not spending that.

@neverpilled That’s supposed to be a crack/critique? That half a chicken breast is approx 8oz = 62 grams of protein. That’s more than half of daily protein goal for regular person.

@Zvbear Add that to a 401K or S&P every year for 30 years that equates to approx 1.3 million dollars. But y’all aren’t ready for that conversation cause fuck your future self.

@MaryTracy @ed_in_my_head I lived through the 80s too. Yes, value of dollar has gone way down. It’s unfair and a major real problem. But previous generations were not spending as frivolously & needlessly as people do today. What should be rare treats are daily habits. That’s the pushback.

They did NOT live cheap. They had restaurants, with tablecloth and cloth napkins. Do NOT buy the revisionism that tells you the Boomers had a better life because they spent less money: THEY SIMPLY HAD MORE MONEY
Jim Sharp@prowrstlngstrng

I am not defending boomers, but they did generally live pretty cheap in their 20s Going out for coffee was insane. You threw Yuban into tiur Mr Coffe and put it in a thermos Eating out meant a trip to Pizza Hut maybe once a month Vacation was driving to a campsite
