Huge thanks to @LNER staff Sarah & Douglas at Edinburgh Waverley on 16 March. Despite being short staffed, Sarah went above and beyond to help my mother catch her train, getting her across the station in time. Douglas also ensured assistance was arranged at the other end.

@mikegallacher1 Not all platforms at Edinburgh Waverley have them Mike, but several do!

It was a surprise to me that Edinburgh station has no ticket barriers, in or out.

@soundings2004 Hi Máire, our BSL signage doesn't support this right now, but it is something we're looking to implement, with our engineers investigating how this would be done. Really appreciate the feedback on this.

@NetworkRailEDB Sitting in Waverley listening to your test alarm. What assistance are you providing for Deaf travellers. I saw a very welcome #BSL screen for travel information, but nothing for the fire alarm. Rather worrying.

@davedatsurf22 Hi Dave, good news on the bins - we'll be installing new sets of bins in the coming weeks to replace these, which will address the ongoing issues you've noticed.

🚧Behind the scenes, we’re preparing. 🚂Our snowploughs will be out overnight tonight patrolling key routes to keep them clear, with non-essential engineering work postponed so this can happen. Our Control will coordinate local teams, sending them where they’re needed (5/6)

👷 To keep trains running safely in these conditions, we may need to introduce speed restrictions. Slowing down trains helps us keep passengers and staff safe during heavy rainfall, snow or ice. (4/6)

As winds pick up this weekend, drifting snow may cause further disruption. 🚆 Our teams will be carrying out proactive work, checking tunnels for icicles and applying de-icing fluid to key junctions to help keep services running. (3/6)
