The United States has spent EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS fighting and policing in the Middle East. Thousands of our Great Soldiers have died or been badly wounded. Millions of people have died on the other side. GOING INTO THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE WORST DECISION EVER MADE.....

@RedWavePress We also can’t completely absolve the president of any blame as he is the one ultimately responsible for the decision. They tried with Biden and as far gone as he was he still managed to keep us out of Iran.

Megyn Kelly on the Iran War: “As this thing goes south, we need to know exactly who talked [President Trump] into it and what representations were made to convince the president that this was a good idea. Who? Who specifically? The names we know are Bibi Netanyahu first and foremost. Lindsey Graham, equally to blame. We know from the Wall Street Journal report that Mark Thiessen of Fox News and General Jack Keane were major advocates of the war. Ok, I like those guys, but they appear to have been very wrong that this was a good idea.” “And we could keep going. Mark Levin, chief among them. He says now, ‘Oh, it wasn’t me.’ Every night, every night on Fox News out there urging the president to do this. And then he had a meeting with him in June, where we know, he denies it now, we know he pushed him for this.” “Ben Shapiro was out on his show every day pushing this war. Like, there were very prominent activists on the right who were practically frothing at the mouth for this thing. And now that it’s not only going poorly, but the president’s poll numbers are in a precipitous freefall, we’d love to see some accountability. Who? Who promised him what?”

Well experiences are different. Im 48, I still work, I have a family, and my I have no problem playing this two hours everyday. Im not rushing to finish it. It will take me months and thats okay. Not competing with this twitch generation that wants to be first to finish anything. You have to slow down to enjoy this and at my age its EXACTLY what I need

@Narukam76146251 @YaBoyRoshi Dragons Dogma 2 was so bad 😂. I knew after the first hour I didn’t like it and gave it several more hours to get good and it never did. I think the switch up happened because people wanted it to be but it never got there

I think as some of us gamers get older we get bogged down with life. And only a few hours to game a week. coming back every weekend trying to regain muscle memory for souls like games or complex systems is an effort within it self you have to go through before you even start playing and that turns busy people off. These days I value turn based games because every Friday when I game I don’t have to relearn dodge/parry timing or regain muscle memory for complex systems. Can’t say people aren’t “gamers“ because they’re busy.

Nobody has yet been able to answer the question: If AI is going to cause mass unemployment and lack of income, then who is going to buy all of the stuff that is produced in the consumer economy? If nobody is there to buy anything, how will any corporations make money?

And here is why I and many others today were laid off
jack@jack

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack

Why can’t we use all the people we have to produce and innovate that much faster instead of getting rid of them? If you can do the same amount of work with half you should be able to do twice or 3x’s as much with the people you have and not need to cut people. That increase in productivity alone should cover those salaries right? 😫 At least they got severance packages

I'm a loser at 27 😭. Made dumb decisions and struggled with depression most of my 20s. Last year i got laid off and my car was repossessed. I found another job recently, but the damage feels permanent. Credit score is 290. $17/hr in a kitchen. No savings, no retirement. My sociology degree feels worthless. I can't afford to rent alone, so i'm stuck with roommates for years. I'm just...lost...
