VIDEO | Here's what New Shop co-founder Aastha Almast told PTI when asked about plans for 24Seven stores acquired recently from Godfrey Phillips India (GPI). "We (New Shop) operate a highly profitable franchise business model. We are present in across 18 states and about 35 cities… we have a long backlog of entrepreneurs who want our franchise and biggest thing in retail is finding right location. When we saw in news that Godfrey Phillips India (GPI) wanted to part with its retail business, for us it was a ready availability of 100 locations which we could readily franchise out to our waitlisted franchise owners. It was a no brainer for us, it automatically adds speed… as far as deal is concerned we have acquired retail assets of GPI and franchised them out to amazing entrepreneurs.
