After I spoke in Parliament on utilising the Department of Posts network to expand the infrastructure of Jan Aushadi Kendras to remote corners of the nation, I had personally met Union Minister for Communications, Shri. @JM_Scindia, and appealed to him to consider the idea. I am happy and grateful to him that he has responded very positively to the idea and has written the following in his letter to me: “I have got the matter examined in the Department. It has been informed that the suggestion to utilise post office infrastructure for establishing Jan Aushadhi Kendras and to leverage India Post’s extensive logistics and last-mile delivery network for transportation and doorstep delivery of medicines is appreciated. The proposal has significant potential to enhance access to affordable medicines, particularly in rural and remote areas. The matter has been taken up with the Department of Pharmaceuticals to explore the feasibility of such a collaboration. Further action will be taken after due consultation to ensure effective and seamless implementation.” I once again thank Shri. Jyotiraditya Scindia Ji for his letter. Here, that philosophy unfolded beautifully before my eyes. As I observed the ceremony, I could sense a graceful exchange where the bride (Disha) carried with her the warmth and vibrancy of her northern roots, while gently embracing the customs and ethos of her husband’s (MJ Sudarshan’s) Tamil Brahmin heritage. It was a celebration of both the identities. Every element of the wedding reflected this confluence. The rituals flowed with a rare harmony, northern traditions blending effortlessly with southern customs, creating a rhythm that felt both authentic and deeply symbolic. The atmosphere itself seemed to resonate with this unity. What struck me most was the setting. The décor transformed the venue into what felt like a traditional South Indian wedding space complete with intricate floral arrangements, temple-inspired aesthetics, and the evocative sounds of percussionists and Indian trumpeters filling the air. It was immersive, almost transporting everyone present to another cultural landscape. A particularly endearing moment was seeing Rajat ji (@RajatSharmaLive) don a traditional southern angavastram, an elegant gesture that perfectly captured the spirit of the occasion. It wasn’t just attire; it was participation, respect, and joy in embracing another tradition.
