The beauty of this is Andrew Snowden predicted correctly that Keir Starmer would deflect straight questions by Kemi Badenoch at PMQs about Peter Mandelson. Andrew then pointed out his failed deflection strategy to the PM, and he received the same deflection technique to his own question to the PM. May I suggest a new strategy to the PM- listen to the question and then answer it. I know it’s a novel approach but you’ve tried everything else so give this a go!

Last month the UK Govt borrowed an eye watering £14.3 billion of which £13 billion went on debt interest. If this was a business the bank manager would be putting a stop to this financial lunacy. The trajectory is only going one way and the velocity going into warp speed. Will someone sensible please take the credit card off the Chancellor- she’s spending like she’s won the lottery but the reality is we can’t even afford to buy the ticket!

While these courageous women are standing up to a brutal and tyrannical regime, and paying the price for it, the silence from so many is disturbing .  How many of today’s silent sport stars and pundits fell publicly to their knees when a violent man died 4000 miles away from London, after a long history of criminal convictions including holding a gun to a woman’s stomach while his mates robbed her.

The Express speaks for Britain. Well done and thank you Michael. The Imperial War Museum should consider renaming itself. If I was them I would drop the word war and the word Imperial is always going to be embarrassing to folk of a certain disposition. That leaves renaming it as The Museum , which should do it, as long as they don’t glory in Britain’s past in any way- otherwise that just leaves the word -The. This on the face of it shouldn’t upset too many people and will not make the institution anymore ridiculous than it already has become in many eyes.

He was right in opposition when he had no power, and now he is leading the charge to scrap them 5 years later as a Minister. How can they be fundamental to our democracy in 2020 and be protected even through the covid pandemic only to be junked in 2025?
