Very disappointed you felt you had to abandon your great work @jessphillips . Really very sad about that. I realise you want to make a statement & understand you found it constantly difficult to get through with your message, but I had hoped you would have waited just a little while to see what Keir Starmer’s reset brings. All the best though and hope we haven’t lost you for good on this essentially, shall I say, vitally important work.

@TomBaldwin66 I don’t want to make a psychodrama out of a small configuration issue, but I think you might need to look at the settings for your camera or your software, because your image comes across as always very low contrast and dull.

Regarding the way Google tries to wind people into its pointless Google photos app, have you thought of showing everyone a simple step by step process to empty that bloody app without also emptying their Apple photos at the same time? I had a heart in mouth moment when I deleted all the Google photos and found it also removed all my Apple photos without any warning. What kind of nasty sneaky little app is that?

Thinking of everyone who starts their GCSEs today, students and parents alike. I think I'm more nervous than my boy is! But I'm so proud of everything that he has done and how he's dealt with everything that's been thrown at him. Good luck everyone.

You agree with paying their pay too? I thought they were not a volunteer. If I could get people to pay my staff wages on top of their bill I would be delighted to lose such a heavy operational cost. To say you agree with tipping (assuming the service was good) is fine and I would agree with that. But I don’t agree with paying staff wages too.

@SamCoatesSky how do we see Curtis’s hands with Sky’s massive strap line & banner? Why doesn’t Sky lower that sometimes? There are many instances where we cannot see important detail.

@airmainengineer So they’re at the correct angle during cruise; less turbulence around the intake = faster cleaner air going in.

You’re right Spence. It’s like they literally want to capture users, but not in an honest or transparent way. It’s hard work to empty Google Photos. Why should that be I wonder? I’m still piecemeal emptying my 22K photos from it, and wish I had never come across it. I never discovered what its purpose was intended to be, other than it seems to be a trap to force users into paying for space they may well be already paying Apple.

@Newtons_Laws Google photos is a nightmare if you leave auto upload switched on. And last time I checked it was really hard to bulk delete photos from it

For anyone else refusing to pay for Google storage (it's a daily battle to keep it in shape), of course there's now a new contributor to your daily intake: I use Gemini to transcribe meetings and, er, create images of cats. And all the audio and images just sit there, until you have a good cleanout.

As we get close to the local elections @ZackPolanski has still not sharpened up his image. Looking so casual and scruffy, verging on uninterested in appearance or presentation, may make many people wonder if this guy is a serious candidate. He’s not even talking much about Green Party values. Getting unnecessarily embroiled in an argument with Met Commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley by criticising police handling over the stabling suspect in the Golders Green attack was a serious error of judgment. It’s not even his role to be interfering with police procedure and to make his criticism in a public letter was poor judgment as were the actual contents of that letter; it suggests to me that Polanski is not what he made himself out to be. Certainly not the right leader for the Green Party. Doesn’t operate with a considered judgment. Completely off piste.

Wonderful. What it shows is the bull is happy to participate in this game as he sees it. Never hurt the bull in the cruel ways done in bull fighting. You can see here the bull is an intelligent sentient being. Bull fighting must be criminalised. It is an example where the #EU is weak as it has no direct powers to make an Order in respect of outlawing bull fighting. Some claim this video is fake. It’s easy to claim everything is fake, but failure to demonstrate why or provide evidence renders the claim highly doubtful.

It is possible to condemn the actions of the #Netanyahu government without blaming #Jewish people. That distinction matters. When anger at a state becomes hostility towards a people, criticism has crossed into prejudice. The link must be broken clearly and publicly. It’s very largely about education.
