Today in the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Diocese of Niagara in the Anglican Church of Canada and for its bishop, the Rt Revd Dr Susan Bell. With a joyful spirit and bold witness, the diocese invites us to join them in thanksgiving and prayer: 🙏 We give thanks for the gift of new vocations, and we pray for the grace of many more to serve the diverse ministry contexts across Niagara with faith and compassion. 🙏 We give thanks for the renewal of faith taking root across the diocese, and we pray that this renewal may deepen and flourish through the power of the Holy Spirit. 🙏 We celebrate the birth of new missional communities and official missions, including the Mission in Acts Mandarin mission, All Saints Mission, the Migrant Farm Workers Mission and the St. Luke’s Community. We pray God’s blessing on these communities and for continued opportunities to serve through creativity, justice and love. #Anglicans @NiagaraAnglican

Today is Palm Sunday, the day we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. As He rode in on a donkey, crowds gathered to greet Him with palm branches, shouting “Hosanna!” in joyful praise. This moment marks the beginning of Holy Week—a sacred journey that leads us to the cross, and ultimately to the hope of resurrection. Bible Verse: "As he was now approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen." (Luke 19:37) Prayer: Almighty God, as we remember Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, grant us grace to follow Him in faithfulness. May we ever hail Him as our King and walk in the way that leads to eternal life. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. #Anglicans #PalmSunday

On this Transgender Day of Visibility we continue to stand in solidarity with our transgender siblings in Christ and celebrate the beloved people God created them to be. We also stand against the dehumanization of the transgender and non-binary communities.

Today marks the beginning of COP16, where world leaders have gathered in Colombia to discuss joint action on biodiversity loss. An Anglican delegation, led by Bishop Graham Usher is attending. They will make 5 Calls, focussed on caring for creation, and influencing governments to address nature loss. The first Call is to "Choose Hope", which urges governments to work with faith groups to mobilise communities for global reforestation and tree planting initiatives. Through initiatives like the Communion Forest, Anglicans are already demonstrating how reforestation can restore ecosystems and address biodiversity loss. Working together, our actions add up. Download the Calls being made here: bit.ly/3UaSWm9 Find out more about Anglicans at COP16 here: anglicancommunion.org/COP16 #COP16 #Anglicans #ChooseHope #Biodiversity
