It's insane that we're constantly having this conversation about whether kids should be allowed in restaurants etc, meanwhile people bring their dogs everywhere. We now live in a society where dogs are more welcome in public than human children. It's psychotic.

My kid motivates me to fix my behavioral issues by changing them. Obviously, Rom 12 all the good comes from my faith in Jesus, praise Him! And it was thru childbearing & rearing: nervous 9-mo wait, natural birth pain, major later changes to marriage, life/society views, behavior etc. life finally makes sense, especially through the lens of Bible. I had no idea nor could I have known unless I had a child what life is really about.

What on earth is Paul talking about when, in 1 Tim. 2:15, he says: “Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.” Let’s tackle a tricky passage together! Paul’s statement about women being “saved through childbirth” is walked through in a few different ways, and the ambiguity stems from whether he refers to a specific childbirth or childbearing in general. Some of the first in-depth analysis comes in the 4th century. Gregory of Nyssa understood the text literally, interpreting it as referring to the salvation of mothers who bear spiritually regenerated children. Whereas Theodore of Mopsuestia, extended this to all women saved through childbearing. Ambrosiaster qualified this by specifying that salvation applies only when children are “reborn in Christ.” Augustine, however, departed from this literal reading, arguing that Paul’s teaching should be understood “figuratively and mystically.” Contemporary scholarship divides into two primary camps: 1) identifying “the woman” as Eve and “the childbirth” as the birth of the Messiah, reading “τῆς τεκνογονίας” as a reference to a specific childbirth rather than childbearing in general. The verses prior do say: “For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor” (2:13-14). Under this messianic reading, even transgression of God’s ordained male/female roles can be redeemed through Christ’s birth, an event contrasted with Adam’s sin, where one brought death and the other brought life. 2) focuses on literal childbearing. Tom Schreiner argues that “saved through childbirth” refers to women being preserved physically when they give birth, since childbirth was a major concern for women in the first century, whereas spiritual salvation doesn’t appear to address the specific concerns of 1–2 Timothy (see Schreiner’s “Paul and Gender”). Under this view, childbirth becomes a metaphor for dangers in a fallen world, and the promise of protection functions similarly to other biblical assurances that don’t guarantee literal preservation. A third option interprets childbearing as representative of women’s acceptance of their proper role in family and church, signaling their rejection of false teaching and return to traditional domestic values (this is argued in Douglas Mangum and E. Tod Twist’s Logos Research commentary). The passage’s meaning ultimately depends on which interpretive framework best accounts for Paul’s theological purpose in 1 Timothy. What are your thoughts?

@MikeWingerii As an ex-pro-choicer, I now comprehend the undeniable evil of abortion. I simply request compassion for women who may have mistakenly believed abortion was their sole option. Are you addressing the root cause of the sin or engaging in political discourse?

Answer this pro-choicers… A woman is pregnant and a man beats her to death. Is he charged with double murder? I suppose most of you will answer yes. During the trial it is discovered that when he beat her to death she had just got off the phone scheduling an abortion at Planned Parenthood. Is it still double murder? I’m guessing you say no but when you try to explain why you find that any words you use make you sound like a moral monster. But wait, there’s more. Then they find her diary which says she was only going to kill the baby because it was a boy and her email has an unread message from her doctor saying the ultrasound was misread. Turns out she was pregnant with a girl. Back to double murder? Use words to explain this and please realize you’re a moral monster on this topic. Babies have the same right to life as adults and we should protect them even more than adults because they are so defenseless.

Update on Maya Gebala from her mom Cia. (Tumbler Ridge) Miss maya is in for her 5th surgery to date.. if all goes well, she will recieve her prosthetic skull piece. If all goes GREAT it could be her last surgery 🥰 Keep us in your thoughts please 💖 This past week her head (where the missing flap is), had swollen, deflated, and swollen again.. It is very heard to watch, especially when we dont really know why. The past few weeks she has been vomiting almost everyday, for no concrete reason. No assumed cause has been consistent. Theres speculations of course, but nothing is known, the brain is a mystery. It is high hopes that, this new prosthetic barrier will enforce increased pressure to minimize cerebral fluid flow... It is the highest hope, that this will all regulate it self in time.. and as a result, release some pressure from her eye *maybe it will open* aswell as relieving pressure around the rest of her face. *maybe she will smile* We are standing by, with our highest hopes for the greatest outcome. @Plinz I dont think it was a mistake, it was by design made so. Man's nature is to steer towards, let's call it naricissm, religion - Christian religion - is an antidote of that, as in I am the greatest vs. Jesus was the greatest (so I don't have to be). Also, no need to redesign.

I think it was a mistake for our culture to dismiss religion, instead of understanding and redesigning it with rational epistemology. Religion defines the intentionality and structure of the superorganism. Without seeing the shape of the superstructure, we cannot derive ethics.

I used to crave sleep with urgency, a respite from a reality I deeply misunderstood. Now, during siesta, the call to a soft pillow still beckons, but reality has become a competitive allure. Jesus saves and renews your mind in ways you never thought possible. Praise God 🙏
