🇬🇧 A groom was sent flying after a horse kicked her during a live broadcast at Redcar Racecourse.
She walked away with bruises, which is basically a 5-star outcome when a horse decides you’re the problem.
@stoolpresidente@joesantos_33 Kelsey does a good job and I’ve watched the filly in the morning. Looks like she trains at CD well I’ve been saying for two weeks I hope she gets in.
I’m so sick of the negativity. Oh Lovely Grey has no shot in the Oaks. She can’t compete. She has no shot. She’s a turf horse. I’m a bad owner blah blah blah. Enough! I want people to tell me why she can win. I’m gonna pick 1 positive vibes person today and put 3k on her for you across the board for you. I’ll announce winner at 8pm. You must have a DK Horse account to be eligible. #dkpartner Use #lovelygrey to be eligible
Trainer Jeff Mullins on Intrepido's fast work Sunday (4f, :45.00): “I wasn’t very happy about it. It’s not a good sign ever for my horse. He did not need to work that fast this close to the race over a new surface.”

@kllywhlr@WinStarCEO@SaffieJosephJr@RepoleStable It’s a 75/25 at least. The house vets are working with these horses and trainers everyday. They have the best understanding of the subject horse. You'd be amazed at the number of these regulatory vets that don’t take conformation into account. 🤷🏻♂️
So Nick Smith & his team scratched John Hancock this morning after looking at him for 30 min. & multiple jogs bc it was not obvious to them.
He has not run in 365+ days, passed the vet test in Fla. to run two weeks ago, & passed the blood test.
But here is a question. Ky average catastrophic breakdown in 2025 was 1.24/1000 starts. National average was 1.04/1000 for 17% improvement over Kentucky. If Nick Smith and his team are doing such a great job, then why is the breakdown rate higher in Kentucky when he scratches twice as many horses? 💁♂️
@WinStarCEO State vets have too much information at their disposal making it impossible for them to be objective. This horse looks a little funny behind to me but he also looks racing sound. He should have been given the opportunity to warm up in the post parade and then reevaluated.
@Hinesite@WinStarCEO@SaffieJosephJr@RepoleStable But this is tricky and puts house vets in tough spots because they have clients. I agree something needs to change but having a vet with financial interest making the final call probably isn’t the way to go.
@garypaljr@ChurchillDowns For sure, I meant in Louisville. It could be a cool way to get more people into horse racing. It’s the day for the little guys and everyday people and fans can relate to that more than weekends like Derby.
I wish @ChurchillDowns had advertised the Claiming Crown more. It’s such a cool and special event. I wish it was more publicized. Lots of interesting connections and stories that resonate with the everyday horse racing fan. #churchilldowns#claimingcrown#HorseRacing
Congrats @lmgriffjohnson, not that anyone cared last year when I owned 10% of Dornoch and was co new owner of the year with Stewie….but happy to pass the torch to a great kid and promoter of horse racing @lmgriffjohnson
You guys sound like a bunch of old jaded assholes talking shit to a kid who won an award he didn’t even ask for. Wow wtf.
I may be new to horse racing and I wasn’t gifted percentages in horses, but wake up!
The way forward for this sport isn’t tearing people down for loving this industry, it’s promoting ownership and the experience that makes horse racing great.
Don’t get me wrong, the CAWs are real. A handful of algorithm driven players dominate pools and screw up people’s odds while everyday bettors get squeezed out at the wire. CUT THEM OFF!
The reality is we need more fans, and my belief is that happens through ownership. That’s my experience and why I started @IconRacingLFG .
We need education, not insulation. Growth, not retraction. We need the next generation of owners, fans, and bettors not people turned off by sour experiences, bad odds at the wire and a bunch of dickheads that are allergic to an Industrial Revolution that doesn’t involve CAWS.
I hear you @Repolestables and respect what you’ve done and continue to do in horse racing year in and year out. You aren’t wrong. I love competing against you and want you as an ally even though you’re from Queens, home of the @Mets.
But we can’t have a kid like Griffin Johnson out here bringing energy, fun, and visibility to the sport feeling bad about his hustle. Who cares if he got gifted horse percentages. What was Kelce’s deal on #SwiftDelivery (could be wrong lol)?
Gifting % is nothing new
I started ICON Racing because it’s all about ownership, entertainment, and the experience of how great this sport is
No one wants to get in if they feel like they can’t find or have no edge
Horse racing: kill CAWs before CAWs kill you.
Stop the hate, embrace and encourage positive change, encourage fractional ownership like @MyRacehorse and @IconRacingLFG end the late inning CAWs, or ride the sport into the fucking ground!
And leave Griffin alone. He’s a good kid doing something positive for all of us and falling in love with an amazing sport. Respect the hustle and celebrate the honor!
Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.
Congrats Griff and welcome to horse racing. You’d fit right in at @IconRacingLFG any day, we’d be lucky to have you.

Ellis Park Juvenile winner Comport schooling in the paddock as he gets set for Saturday’s Iroquois Stakes at @ChurchillDowns, the kickoff on the Road to Kentucky Derby 152.
"Every time I asked for more, he kept finding. I don't see distance being an issue."
@joeydakracing talks to the winning connections of Comport after his win in the Ellis Park Juvenile!
