Research led by @Sydney_Uni's Dr @NicholasJHunt1 & Prof Victoria Cogger has developed a new type of oral insulin based on nanotechnology. It could offer the 75 million people worldwide who use insulin for diabetes a more effective and needle-free alternative.

Researchers are using nanotechnology to create a pill form of the medication, which includes a nanocarrier that greatly increases the absorbance of insulin in the gut when consumed orally. Watch👉 bit.ly/3QuLCjh #diabetes #Health @syd_health @Sydney_Science

It’s great to see this research into the development of an oral insulin pill moving to the next phase of trials. And a great example of the world-class diabetes research happening right here in Australia, and the hope that research provides for people living with diabetes.
