@ryanbrennan18 @JackFritzWIP I wouldn't rule it out but I think with the injury and how hard he throws they may be eyeing 2027. Then again if DD needs an arm and Gage is there lightning up the minors he may just be the bullpen addition needed at the deadline.

@Yenrac17 @JackFritzWIP Well because A) our outfield is likely a bottom 5 outfield in the league and we have little options and B) Keaton won a gold glove in the minors. So i wouldn’t expect a defensive drop off.

@Jolly_Olive Philly fan. This is an excellent trade for the Mets. Sproat isn't that great. Jett has no power. Peralta is very good. Jelly you guys got him. Though I think the Luis Roberts trade was bad. He has done nothing.

Some thoughts... - Mets have had an excellent offseason, no doubts - Sproat + Jett is a massive price, esp if there's no extension - Tobias Myers is much more than a throw-in. He pushed the deal over the edge imo - I would give Freddy 6/180 tonight, does that even get it done?

@LPJJJO @JackFritzWIP It's not horrible. I feel this contract will hold up better than the 5 yr one given to a younger Castellanos. It's fair to not be happy the day Bo Bichette goes to Mets. But JT is well liked & knows the staff, and the drop off from him to the next catcher is pretty far.

@NicholasPickel2 @JackFritzWIP Yadi had a much better season than JT before signing that contract, and JT turns 35 a week before Opening Day. this contract could potentially be the same terms as Yadi’s for a worse catcher

Waking up thinking that Bo Bichette is going to be a Phillie, only for him to sign with the Mets, and JT is back on a 3 year deal within hours of that sure is a big ole kick in the junk.
