@Melbourne_says I read that as screw “mouse” and spent longer than a few seconds thinking “a mouse?? Where?? It must be so tiny!” 😬🤣

How cute is this wall screw moss. It's probably not much bigger than a 50 cent piece. The things you notice when you get close to the ground.

The soap opera coverage of the next PM is underway. Our politics unlikely to change much until our media culture does and government has a big role to play in trying to change it.

Every time we drove past as kids "That’s the murder house". If you know, you know. Now a vacant lot. #Adelaide

@atrupar Is that how it works in the US? A relative can just be appointed to replace someone?? How on earth is that remotely democratic?

Well it’s taken a while, but I give you my latest embroidery, it’s a little different but still very much me, if that makes any sense. 😅 I hope you enjoy all the same.🪡🌿🌺🪻✨ *completely freehand stitched using the needle like a paintbrush. #stitchedart #thesewingsongbird

Scored two of these very old chairs at the op shop over the weekend, and as soon as I laid eyes on the price tag (10 bucks) they were in my boot 8 minutes later. They are so comfortable. I will sand these back when the warmer weather gets around and keep these for life.

Today on @TheRestHistory we head to the Greek Bronze Age - and plunge into one of the foundational texts of Western culture. Two epic episodes on Homer's THE ODYSSEY - as well a RIH Club bonus on the text, with translator Daniel Mendelsohn. To join: therestishistory.com

@chrisbreadon I don’t know - but Robert Cecil also had a son who did so ( and even became a priest)

@holland_tom @TheRestHistory Have not quite finished the first episode but Tom saying “there’s something of the La Fayette” in Odysseus falling asleep was just perfection! Also, Russell Crowe’s cameo was “bloody bonza” 😂😂 Bravo!

This week on @TheRestHistory, THE ODYSSEY!!! Today, we trace the poem's account of his wanderings; ask what echoes of history there might be in them; & ask whether the story derives from the Bronze Age, the age of Homer or whether it's all just fiction linktr.ee/restishistory

My wife and I have been obsessed with British crime drama, especially historical drama ever since Foyle’s War. These are our top favorited (in no particular order): Inspector George Gently Vera Endeavour (outstanding) Foyle’s War Wallander Inspector Lewis Shetland Karen Pirie Dalgliesh (watching now) Have we missed any good ones? And yes, we have seen Broadchurch. Very different style than the above.
