On the way back, he was back to himself. I asked, “What changed?” He said, “For the last two k’s, I just decided they were cheering me on.”

Theo’s almost finished his Run for Autism 5k every day in October. 20:30 PBs, cold mornings, a few tears… and $5,500 raised. He’s just turned 9 years old.

Life with autism has its unique challenges and its unique beauty. One run summed it all up: we were heading towards a mob of loudly mooing cows. The noise really got to him; he was agitated and complaining.

This morning Theo said, “I couldn’t have done it without you, Dad.” Truthfully, I felt the opposite. Most days, he was the one leading me. Dragging me out the door, setting the pace, showing me what commitment really looks like.

Once an autumn knockdown issue and fallows in winter - rye grass has also become a summer weed problem as its dormancy changes over time. Here surviving high rates of glyphosate in summer applications. These areas will be cultivated to control the spread. @agrobaz @CropDoctor54

I don't see it shifting this curve that much as labour only fraction of cost. every unit has to have propulsion, smarts and mechanical control. Maybe we will see machinery get even bigger?

Until some real farmers from Qld wrestled it into what it is today. With fully autonomous solutions coming there’s no need for large cumbersome heavy machines

@NickBerry87 @MattRic05255619 @seed_terminator Is be keen to see your initial design. In my head; a thick HDPE plastic panel with cheese slicer type outlets which let air through without providing edges for material to catch on

Big thanks to Paul from @seed_terminator for the 1500hr check up on this fine workday! We’ve had a great run out of the mills this year. Very happy with maintenance and capacity of them. Just need someone else to pay the fuel bill!

@hirschirsch @MattRic05255619 @seed_terminator Totally agree Dylan, esp when you adjust fan speed for different crops and you don't change the mill speed. It does have front corners cut out at front and it actually lifts slightly if pressure is up to let the air out over the baffle. But we need to understand impact more.

@MattRic05255619 @seed_terminator I think that would be great for lupins and green canola. Paul mentioned it but didn’t have a spare on him. I’d want it designed with air holes though as although the mills create suction I wouldn’t want to solely rely on them
