Just reading this brings tears to my eyes. The awareness for how young, innocent and traumatized these children are. And imagining what they have endured these last 6 weeks. Thank god they are coming home. May this lead to the freeing of ALL the hostages. #BringThemHome

Israeli Welfare Ministry confirmed that these are instructions for IDF personnel who will be escorting child hostages from Gaza to Israel: 1. Try to have 1 soldier escort each child or family unit 2. The soldier should introduce himself: “Hi, I’m (name). I’m a soldier in the IDF and I am going to escort you home. You are in a safe place. I’m here to take care of you. You are safe.” 3. Soldiers should ask if the children are hot/cold, and if they’re thirsty. If the child has trouble walking they should ask “can I give you a hand? Is it ok if I lift you and help you walk?” Soldiers can offer a hand or a hug but they are not to lift or hold a child without his or her permission. If there is no choice, then the soldier must talk them through it, and say “I’m going to hold you because…” “Now we have to be quiet, but we will speak soon”

Last week & over the weekend, we bused the Red Line Park St to JFK/UMass for track work & station repairs. As part of our Track Improvement Program, we planned to eliminate 6 slow zones in this area. Instead, we removed the 6 plus an additional 3 slow zones. #BuildingABetterT

Whatever your view of calls 4 a ceasefire this particularly order is deeply flawed. As the first public comment from the Council since Oct. 7, it is notable that it does not explicitly condemn the actions of Hamas & it equates the civilian hostages taken with 'prisoners of war".

When people recite this chant, they are calling for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from their ancestral homeland, Israel, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.
