I would suggest looking at breakthrough mobility with @swyftcities that is perfect for mid rise. Costs appx $25m a mile and can move thousands per hour. Born out of Google’s Project Swyft. This is something a GOP governor could get behind. Unfortunately most of the pushback comes from the left who want to protect unions and want more shuttle busses.

This CA gubernatorial race sucks I guess Im for Steyer but none of these people seem very good and theyre already screwing up by risking a GOP top two and canceling debates over stupid bullshit I wish Kamala had cleared it out and tried to build up her image by fixing the state

No one in Silicon Valley understands how big @swyftcities is going to be. Born out of Google’s “Project Swyft”. Contracts in development around the world. You should talk to Founder @jeralpo. Nothing else can bring mobility to cities like it! This is the next big thing in autonomous transportation.

The next wave of 'Global Resilience' startups won’t look like defense With a portfolio across Anduril, Nominal, Helsing, Valinor, Saronic, Castelion.. "It's not just about defense tech" @generalcatalyst's Paul Kwan says we need to think bigger. GC is looking for what comes next — companies rebuilding industrials, energy, healthcare, & government. “There's so many ways to contribute to this reindustrialization.” Paul Kwan, Managing Director of General Catalyst at Hill & Valley Forum 2026 (@HillValleyForum)
Molly O’Shea@MollySOShea

BREAKING: Paul Kwan, Managing Director of @generalcatalyst's Global Resilience Team: "Capital does not equal contracts" "There's a ton of energy. There's a line out the door just to get in. It's amazing the awareness in the focus on this space, defense, industrial power, but we kind of have to not conflate that contracts & capital are different. We have a lot of capital, private capital, & public capital, but that's not the same as contracts. Capital does not equal contracts. We need to have the follow through on contracts to companies to keep the flywheel going." Say more.. "An example I give you is like NATO did a ton of work to put together this NATO innovation fund a few years ago. They raised $1 billion dollars of capital from all the nations to invest in defense tech. And my thought would've been, instead of spending a billion dollars investing, it should just bought a billion dollars of contracts that would've led to $5 or $6 billion of VC funding. Instead, a few years later, they're just winding the whole thing down and didn't have the impact. So to me. Again, we have all this private capital coming into the ecosystem, it's great, and public capital, but if we don't have the contract follow through from the DOW on these programs, then you don't get the revenues, you don't get the commercial flywheel to go build all the stuff we need to build. Sequoia’s @shaunmmaguire says Silicon Valley is undergoing a "Copernican" shift and waking up to the fact that it revolves around a set of much larger industries, not the other way around: "In Silicon Valley, [there's] almost this Copernican principle — where people used to believe that the world revolved around the Earth, then realized that it revolves around the sun." "There's a Silicon Valley parallel where people think that all of technology, all of industry, revolves around Silicon Valley, but it's actually kind of the opposite." "Silicon Valley is Earth, and there are these much bigger forces and bodies, which include energy, the chemical industry, these giant supply chains, and the semiconductor industry, which has been around for a very long time. It was pretty advanced, and people in Silicon Valley forgot about it." "I don't like the language of other industries pivoting into AI. I actually think it's the opposite." "I think it's like Silicon Valley is waking up from its toddlerhood and realizing that there were these giant industries that we underestimated, and they're actually really freaking good at what they do. And we can all benefit by working together."

There’s no crying in baseball. The Democrat Party needs to wake up and toughen up. Candidates who’ve been campaigning for two years, can’t raise money, and remain in the low single digits need to step aside or be pushed aside by the Democratic Party. Propping up candidates like Antonio Villaraigosa, who clearly can’t read tea leaves, only helps Republicans win the Governor’s mansion. The debate should be rescheduled quickly & fairly. Lead, follow, or get out of the way. latimes.com/california/sto…

How many more times are we going to have to witness and PROVE all of the various ways they are RIGGING our elections before SOMETHING IS DONE?!? Thank you to the indomitable @JamesOKeefeIII for yet another incredible work of journalism.
James O'Keefe@JamesOKeefeIII

BREAKING: CALIFORNIA MASS IN-PERSON ELECTION FRAUD CRIMES CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Recordings Show Homeless Are Paid By Petitioners To FORGE Real Voters’ Signatures To Sign Ballot Petitions On Skid Row, Thousands of Times Disenfranchised Voters Say They Are OUTRAGED After Being Shown Their Signatures Are Forged Undercover in Los Angeles, James O’Keefe uncovered an election fraud pyramid scheme operating on Skid Row. In Part II of Cash for Ballots, series hidden camera footage shows petition circulators paying homeless individuals $2–$3 per form to sign ballot petitions using the names and addresses of real registered voters and forging their signatures. Circulators provided printed lists of voters, assigned identities, and directed the homeless individuals exactly what to write, monitoring them to ensure the information matched so the circulators get paid. “You only write what I tell you to write.” “Your name’s Robert.” “If you mess up, I can’t get paid.” The conduct captured appears to violate multiple California felony statutes, including Elections Code §18613 (signing another person’s name to a petition), Penal Code §470 (forgery), Elections Code §18601–18602 (paying for petition signatures), and Penal Code §470 (forging signatures). The OMG team and Cam Higby visited addresses tied to the voters' names being used. One resident said the named voter had not lived at the address for nearly a decade, yet election mail was still being delivered. “Doesn’t live here, uh I bought this house nearly 9 years ago. The only reason I know that name, is because we still get her mail.” “i always feel really weird when I get the voting ballot. Cause like, you know, obviously that’s fraudulent.” This is Part II of an ongoing investigation. The Citizen Justice League will continue to release more footage of these crimes caught on tape. @camhigby @ctznjusticelg

It’d be great it SAVE America fit within the rigid definition of “budgetary” for purposes of budget reconciliation But it doesn’t We need to keep debating SAVE America until it passes Grueling, but necessary And worth it Who’s on board?
America@america

Leader John Thune suggests he’s open to including the SAVE America Act in Reconciliation, which would only need a simple majority “This was discussed, there is a lot of support... that's an option. If that's what it takes to get it across the finish line”

We’ve received a lot of feedback on bike lanes in Downtown on NE 5th ST based on a story that ran on CBS. To be clear, we are not in favor of removing bike lanes. We are currently exploring how to make NE 5th ST safe for cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers while together moving traffic more safely and efficiently. Part of that effort involves redesigning the street and bike lanes to include elevating the lanes and/or changing the infrastructure. The urban core represents a cluster with the highest incidence of cyclist fatalities and serious injuries in Miami Dade. And Miami Dade ranks first among similarly sized cities in the State and in the nation. We understand how important mobility options and connectivity are in the urban core and throughout our City, and as a cyclist myself, I witness firsthand the need to improve safety, cycling lanes, street design and traffic. On Northeast 5th Street, which is a major corridor and key route to the Port of Miami and the Fire Station, illegal parking in the bike lane has become a life threatening issue. When cars block the lane, it creates hazards for cyclists and pedestrians, and it contributes to congestion and gridlock for everyone. On weekends, cruise passengers carry their luggage across Biscayne Blvd to the Port. Miami Police have issued just under 100 citations in the past three months alone. Enforcement is not enough. We need structural changes. Our goal is simple: safer streets, better traffic flow, and mobility solutions that work for the neighborhood today and in the future. #safetyfirst @LSewardWCPO @CBSMiami @downtownMIA @CityofMiami @OmniCRA

🚨 JUST IN: Sen. Mike Lee tells John Thune and other senators NO, the SAVE America Act can NOT be passed with reconciliation, which was floated because it only needs 50 votes "It can't pass through budget reconciliation because it's a policy, it is not budgetary and even if you attached money to it, there are things at the margins we could do it to help facilitate compliance with it — but the restrictions themselves have basically zero chance of meeting the standard to pass through budget reconciliation." "There are other reasons out there to do budget reconciliation. Do not be fooled into thinking that we can set down the SAVE America Act and just pick it up on budget reconciliation, that's not going to work."

@RealMikeSchall Nobody loves Miami more than me but let’s focus on just making it great for the first time. The infrastructure here is weak and it should be top tier for how populated where becoming and with all the mixed used development with work, play, live it’s a no brainer!

@NickGarzilli @swyftcities I meant in a "what if" scenario 😁 Could it be possible to reuse existing light rail infrastructure and mount the cable structures on top of it? JTA is effectively phasing out the elevated rail system in favor of autonomous buses or a elevated walking path. Gondolas though...
