@markgurman They updated the OSEligibility asset for 26.4 (no idea at what time of the day, I only checked after 26.5b1 was out) enabling AI in China, then rolled it back. This didn't even affect 26.5b1, only 26.4.

Apple Intelligence launched in China in error - it’s been ready to go for months but Apple doesn’t yet have regulatory approval. There’s no imminent launch and this isn’t tied to the iOS 26.5 beta. Apple has pulled it offline.

@aaronp613 @ClassicII_MrMac For what do they need 128GB in a Display... it's not like this is a fixed part of the mainboard of an iPhone - there is no A19 Pro iPhone with 128GB. So it's not a compromise but an active choice?

Here is how much STORAGE is inside Apple's new displays: The Studio Display (A19) and Studio Display XDR (A19 Pro) both have 128GB onboard storage (up from 64GB) They also have 8GB (A19) and 12GB (A19 Pro) RAM as I reported last week (h/t @ClassicII_MrMac for getting the logs)

I didn't read the love notes. I just logged the metadata. I mapped exactly who sent to whom. This allowed me to build a comprehensive 'Social Influence Graph' of the organization. I identified the 'Super-Connectors' - The three employees who received the most gifts from the widest variety of departments. These are the people with high informal social capital. They are the ones who can organize a walkout, sway opinion, or unionize a team over lunch. Next steps? I fired all three of them this morning for 'redundancy.' You can't have alternative power structures competing with management. Love the chocolates though.

Apple has a big mistake on their outage page Apple Invites is currently having an outage and Apple says some users are affected. This implies that people actually use the app.
