I used to put hundreds of hours into Pokémon games. Then Nintendo got lazy about development, and the games became increasingly worse with each new release.

They have the tech to make a game 100x this and the funding but they choose to sell you 20 year olds games because their consumers are idiots.

It is truly sad that "we won't hike the price after early access" is such a win in this industry. Granted I don't think I'd be crazy upset at a $10 increase but I appreciate that they didn't because the optics win is the main reason they hit 40 million players in the first place

Pokemon has certain principles they uphold, and certain gameplay mechanics and rules they refuse to let go of. Pokemon has gotten lazy over the years, it lacks the whimsy it once had, hence why Palworld is popular in the 1st place
