In honour of #LongCOVIDAwarenessDay, I’d like to present some important data from the latest GP-Patient survey. This is a HUGE survey with a sample size of ~700K people in England (5x bigger than ONS’s Covid survey). In this thread, I’ll walk you through some key findings… /1

The NHS England GP Patient Survey 2025 asked approx. 700,000 people if they have #LongCovid.
Yes: 4.2%
I don’t know: 9.5%
These figures are staggering evidence of the likely prevalence of symptomatic people & the continuing lack of education on Long Covid.

Today is International Long COVID Awareness Day. Healthcare workers report higher levels of Long COVID than the general population and doctors with Long Covid have been denied the support they need, causing huge financial and emotional distress.
We are working to improve the support for doctors suffering with long COVID.

🎥 I was getting so fed up seeing such unrealistic images used to represent those of us with #LongCovid so I created 2 videos, 1 of which I presented this week to sites involved in an upcoming study to hammer home why research to #TreatLongCovid is so important.
