⭕️ Trump Lashes Out at Iran, Obama Over Nuclear Negotiations President Trump posted a lengthy statement on Truth Social Sunday accusing Iran of “playing games” with the U.S. for 47 years and blasting former President Barack Obama for the 2015 nuclear deal and associated financial transfers to Tehran. The President repeated long-disputed claims about the $1.7 billion cash payment made to Iran in 2016 — a settlement of a decades-old arms transfer. He also accused Iran of killing 42,000 “innocent, unarmed protestors,” an entirely baseless figure with no evidence to support it. The post came as U.S.-Iran negotiations over ending the war remain ongoing — and as multiple analysts warn Trump may end up with a deal structurally similar to, or weaker than, the JCPOA he spent years denouncing as “the worst deal ever.” “It is very difficult to see how the Trump administration is going to be able to secure anything better than the JCPOA simply because we are starting from a place much further back,” Allison McManus, managing director at the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, told The Hill. Under the JCPOA, Iran capped enrichment below 4% and reduced its stockpile by 98%. Iran now holds uranium enriched to 60% — far closer to weapons grade — and the IAEA has lost access to its nuclear sites since the war began. CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, a prominent figure in the liberal foreign policy media establishment, recently warned: “What this war has done is handed Iran a weapon that is far more usable than nuclear weapons, which is the Strait of Hormuz choking off global supplies.”

🇮🇷 Bombing Iran's energy grid will start a different war, instead of ending the current one. Analyst Glenn Diesen breaks down why the escalation math is catastrophic for everyone in the region. "Once you burn down the entire energy infrastructure of the Gulf states, there's no coming back from this." The U.S. has always controlled the escalation ladder. Iran may be about to take it from them. @Glenn_Diesen

After hearing the Pentagon classified brief on Iran war impact on US weapons stockpiles, Senator Mark Kelly says it is "shocking how deep we have gone into these magazines." He said the Tomahawks, ATACMS, SM-3, THAAD rounds, Patriot rounds, so those interceptor rounds to defend ourselves have been hit hard. He says it'll take years to replenish those stockpiles, which could affect a hypothetical US conflict with China. @FaceTheNation

AOC: I personally do not trust somebody like Marjorie Taylor Greene—a proven bigot and anti-semite—on the issues of what is good for Gazans and Israelis. I don’t think it benefits our movement to align with white nationalists.
