Meet the members of the #Artemis Red Crew. Ahead of liftoff, they went into the blast danger zone to ensure the @NASA_SLS Moon rocket could launch safely.

To do this accurately, you need to know the state of the rocket on the pad with very high certainty. I use an ultra precise level to make sure the rocket is within a tenth of a degree of true vertical before each flight. With longer flight time or RTK GPS this wouldn’t be needed

Scout has GPS onboard but the vast majority of its position and velocity estimates come from “dead reckoning” - this means we set the pad position and velocity as all zeros, and propagate acceleration measurements forward in flight. For a 10 second flight this approach works well

It's here–the deepest, sharpest infrared view of the universe to date: Webb's First Deep Field. Previewed by @POTUS on July 11, it shows galaxies once invisible to us. The full set of @NASAWebb's first full-color images & data will be revealed July 12: nasa.gov/webbfirstimages

For the first time since 2009, two rockets capable of sending humans to space are standing tall at LC-39A & LC39-B at the same time. Space is back, get ready. NASA/Joel Kowsky

@Nim0223 Not sure if I have more than one chance at existing, but it's nice knowing that I have chances at other stuff, thanks
