III. TIMELINE
20. The political process described in this white paper is expected to take between 18 and 24 months.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or war, the timeline may be
extended. However, in such cases:
20.1. Any extension exceeding six months must be approved jointly by the heads of all three
transitional institutions (the Transitional Mehestan, the Transitional Government, and the
Transitional Divan) as well as the Leader of the National Uprising; and
20.2. Any extension beyond 12 months shall also require a national referendum for the nation’s

False. It explicitly says the transition is not open-ended and will last 18–24 months, with extensions beyond the set limits requiring national approval through referendum.
That does not make it a dictatorship. It makes it a centralized transitional model.
There are historical analogues: Spain after Franco used a royal figure as a bridge to constitutional democracy. France in 1958 used de Gaulle’s emergency legitimacy to refound the republic.
Pahlavi’s plan is not a copy of either. Iran’s conditions are different. But the principle is not unprecedented.
Pretending every emergency transition equals Khomeini, is of no value to anyone, it's just lazy.

This is one lazy attempt at thinking, not even worth calling analysis. It has no basis in any facts. Long before 1979 Khomeini had already articulated velayat-e faqih in Islamic Government. Pahlavi by contrast, is explicitly transitional: secular governance, territorial integrity, civil liberties, public referendum, constituent assembly, and a constitution ratified by voters.
You can critique the plan. But “1979 also had a popular guy” is toddler-level.

🇸🇪👑 I dagarna fyller Kungen 80 år. Det är något att fira – för honom, men också för Sverige.
Republikaner invänder att monarkin inte är fullt demokratisk eftersom statschefen ärver sitt ämbete. Visst, det är ett principiellt argument.
Men i praktiken får Sverige långt mer av monarkin än vad en republik skulle ge.
Kungahuset är inte bara tradition. Det är ett av Sveriges starkaste internationella varumärken. Statsbesök, kungliga ceremonier, Nobelbanketter, jubileer och den globala uppmärksamheten kring kungafamiljen ger Sverige PR som hade kostat enorma summor att köpa.
Turismen omsätter miljardbelopp. Sveriges mjuka makt – vårt anseende, vår attraktionskraft och vårt diplomatiska kapital – stärks av institutioner som människor faktiskt känner igen.
För detta betalar varje svensk ungefär 14 kronor om året. Det är mindre än en kaffe på Pressbyrån.
Att avskaffa monarkin för att ersätta den med ännu en anonym president – sannolikt en avdankad socialdemokratisk politruck – vore inte demokratiskt fördjupande.
Det vore att byta en samlande, opolitisk institution med historisk tyngd mot en politiserad reträttpost för gårdagens partielit. Ett dyrt sätt att förlora något som fungerar – och få något betydligt sämre i gengäld.
I dag firar vi Kungen för lång och trogen tjänst till Sverige: för hans pliktkänsla, hans uthållighet och för att han i decennier har representerat landet med lugn, kontinuitet och respekt.
