@UtxoSaint I think it is a mistake to believe that statement. In reality, it is more a case of being "community-funded," because I don't see any beneficial returns for the average Cardano holder—only a community-funded tool for developers.

What does "community owned" exactly mean? Asking for a friend who is trying to learn about Blockfrost and #Cardano!

I believe crypto projects need to change their approach toward traditional businesses, as the biggest challenge lies in integrating the token narrative. @empowa_io takes a good approach by allowing tenants to pay rent in local currency without needing to understand the underlying blockchain technology. Personally, I think the projects with the brightest future are multi-chain ones—and especially those that integrate with traditional businesses.

I would like to see a new generation of global development companies emerge around Cardano, including teams already within the ecosystem and companies entering it for the first time. There is a clear opportunity to study previously funded governance proposals, understand the requirements, costs and delivery models behind them, then compete with stronger ideas, better execution and more efficient use of treasury funds. Ahead of the next budget, I would like to see expertise from both inside and outside the ecosystem step forward and demonstrate what it is capable of delivering. Established contributors should be able to focus on the specific areas where their knowledge and experience are strongest, while Cardano opens more of its development landscape to capable global talent. I also recognise that there is serious hesitation among existing builders about stepping forward, for a range of reasons. Cardano already has a deep pool of technical talent that I believe could contribute far more if the conditions, incentives and opportunities gave those teams the confidence to participate, whilst collaborating with existing specialists. Healthy competition should improve pricing, expand technical capacity and reduce dependence on a small number of established providers. Collaboration still has an important role, but Cardano will benefit from a broader market of capable teams able to challenge assumptions and offer credible alternatives. Solana does this really well. The opportunity is significant across both core and non core development on Cardano. For companies inside and outside the Cardano ecosystem, the message is clear. There is meaningful work available for teams prepared to understand the system, compete and deliver in future.
