It’s official! The African Women in Diplomacy and International Affairs (AWIDIA) has officially launched 🇰🇪 A platform empowering Kenyan women in diplomacy through leadership, mentorship, and inclusion. Launched during the #IRSKConference2025 in collaboration with @AusHCKenya .

The discussion also highlighted upcoming international trade, logistics, and investment conferences in both countries - Oman and Kenya, which will serve as key platforms for fostering collaboration, attracting investors, and accelerating bilateral growth.

Together with our Oman partner @arabianresearch we had fruitful discussions with key stakeholders in the logistics, trade and economic sector in Kenya, including with Kenya National Chamber of Commerce, Invest Kenya, Special Economic Zones Authority, and Trade Mark Africa.

Netherlands Human Rights Tulip Award Ceremony was organised by Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya last week. The Dutch Ambassador Henk Jan Bakker presented the award to the courageous journalist & ED of SJS, Abdalle Ahmed Mumin. Interview was moderated by our CEO.

The Somali Journalists Syndicate @sjs_Somalia is proud to announce that it has been selected as the winner of the 2025 Local Human Rights Tulip by the Government of the Netherlands. We are honored that Ambassador Henk Jan Bakker hosted our Secretary General, @Cabdalleaxmed, at his residence in Nairobi to receive the Human Rights Tulip. The award ceremony was followed by an interactive panel discussion moderated by @NimoJirdeh. In his official acceptance speech, the #SJS Secretary General @Cabdalleaxmed expressed his gratitude on behalf of all #SJS members and the wider Somali journalists community. The Local Human Rights Tulip is a recognition of SJS's tireless work to defend human rights. We shall continue to represent the underrepresented media community, including the most vulnerable groups, such as women. Thank you, @NLinSomalia.
