I was in the hospital just recently & despite being in severe pain & asking for Motrin the moment I walked into my room, I was sent Norco more than a hour later, which was odd bc I'd just discussed w/ the MD that I am allergic to Vicodin. I rejected it & asked for Motrin again. An hour or, so later, I was sent Fentanyl & told patients all over the hospital were taking it for pain, & the MD was just trying to get me on something I could use for long-term pain. I told them I don't have chronic pain & just wanted Motrin. Took me four hours to get that danged Motrin & I wonder if they were purposely allowing me to languish after being in the ER for 7 hours w/ nothing, hoping I would just take whatever they sent & decide I liked it. That mode of operation is egregious. No reason at all that they should be offering opioids for what just a few years ago, they were routinely giving otcs for and then, of course, they were angry with me the entire time I was there bc I was noncompliant, noncompliant, noncompliant. 😡 lol - They, also, wanted to do an MRI with contrast, which sends me into shock & I rejected despite their argument that they'd have plenty of drugs on hand to bring me out of it. 😆 No way!!!! I was not in the mood. 😅

Which is why Kennedy is so effective. He and others under him have been focusing on health, research and education. We all know that the US has an obesity problem and improved health is a huge cost cutter. Big Pharma wants the illnesses so they can push the drugs. Also we have many of the companies significantly cutting drug costs so at least the ones who do need meds are going to have a huge reduction in price.

I understand your post completely and don't deny it is reasonable. But I think we all know this is not the Candace we, and Charlie, knew. I can make a lot of guesses on what has changed with her but she seems to be in need of mental help more than just criticism. I am more of the criticize and react personality but I know Charlie (and Erika) would want us to be more open and understanding/forgiving. I suck at it but will work at being better because Charlie would want that.

What was supposed to be a fun night at the @WHCA dinner with President Trump delivering jokes and celebrating free speech was hijacked by a depraved crazy person who sought to assassinate the President and kill as many top Trump administration officials as possible. I was with President Trump and the First Lady back stage after we were quickly ushered to safety by Secret Service. President Trump was truly fearless, but as he said last night, this political violence needs to end. Thank you to law enforcement for keeping all of us safe, including the brave agent who took a bullet to the chest and immediately moved to neutralize the shooter. Pray for our country.
