@MarshaCollier What about individuals who have the creativity and smarts for satire but not necessarily the skills to render the artistic vision, but can describe what they'd like the image to be (which, essentially, is what a prompt is)? That's what some journalists are using AI for.

@NiteStar I don't think so. Satire has been in our media for hundreds of years. There was no AI. There was no imitation of voice. True satire is done with creativity and smarts. Honestly, I think Denmark is making a step in the right direction.

This is nice, but I wonder what the effect would be on satirical content, either AI-produced or human-produced, and other content that, traditionally, has been seen to be protected under an artistic license? Hey Terri, Totally agree with you. Looking back, it really does feel like things started sliding downhill sometime in the 1980s. The 1990s still had that fun, optimistic energy—we were riding high on the post-Cold War vibe, new tech popping up, and life just felt lighter. But honestly, the cracks were already there; we just didn’t notice as much because things were still mostly okay. Then those “burst bubbles” hit (dot-com crash, anyone?), the wars kicked off, and everything shifted. The 21st century has been rough in so many ways—endless conflicts, economic rollercoasters, social division, you name it. The only bright spot has been the insane leaps in technology. Everything else? Major bummer. 😥 I’m half-joking, half-serious when I say: I want my money back! Where’s the refund line for this disappointing century? 😂 Seriously though, where do we sign up for a do-over? What do you think—any silver linings I’m missing, or are you feeling the same nostalgia blues?
