I am deeply honoured to accept Premier @ABDanielleSmith’s appointment to be Alberta’s Minister of Finance and the President of Treasury Board. It is a privilege to serve Albertans as a Member of the Legislature and at the Cabinet table, and I thank the Premier for entrusting me with this role. I am grateful for the opportunity these last three years, first in Seniors, Community and Social Services and now Assisted Living and Social Services, to have worked on policies that support some of the most vulnerable people in our province. From standing up Assisted Living Alberta and beginning the largest expansion in continuing care in our province’s history, to making record investments in employment support and opportunities for Albertans regardless of their circumstances, I am thankful to the many people who have worked hard to support our government’s vision for the province. I have the utmost confidence that Minister @neudorf_ab will continue to provide strong support for the most vulnerable in our province. Finally, I would like to acknowledge my predecessor, the Honourable @NateHornerAB, who I have had the pleasure of serving with in caucus since 2019 and for the last five years at the cabinet table. Despite global uncertainty in the last three years, Nate led the strong fiscal management of our province and has been critical to Alberta’s continued success. I look forward to contributing to our province’s legacy of prosperity in this new role.
