I confronted Justin Trudeau and asked him what gives him the right to continue as prime minister of Canada? He's a public figure—not the king—and he has FAILED! It's time for him to go! It's time for an election!

People like Chris Dacey built audiences who respected and trusted their reporting because of their hard work over long periods of time. Chris got to the point on Facebook where he was making a livable wage that would have put him in the middle class of Canadians 20 years ago. And that's A LOT for someone in this line of work, but very well earned and hard to come by! Only the most exceptional people can build that level of engagement and trust with an audience doing the work he did. It's NOT easy. It's NOT something that can be copied. Many, many, many have tried and failed because they lack the perfect combination of charm, cool wit, and consistency. It was short lived before Facebook dropped the hammer and removed his account. Accounts like Chris' that contribute original reporting and journalism in Canada covering some of the most dangerous subject matter for any reporter such as volatile street protests all while dealing diplomatically with the most powerful people in the country during impromptu sidewalk interviews (the only form of real, non-controlled access to our politicians that exists in Canada) have their accounts deleted while those repeating the same things hundreds of times in circles are allowed to continue unabated and swim in cash. Your jaw would drop if you understood how much money is involved. And that's cool. Get the money. But it should be that those out taking risks get rewarded appropriately and not punished by platforms as easy targets. They built their audiences fair and square. People want to see what they have to say. They're not breaking any insane rules. They're eliminated because they alone represent the greatest threat to the regime: An unfiltered lens on the street. Not a monologue in a studio or bedroom. The truth on the ground. Asking questions to those who control our daily lives. There's no one more capable to hold the managerial class accountable than a person with a smart phone who can get around quick and ask sharp questions while competently dealing with the heat that follows. Chris has done it many, many times. And trust me, IT'S HOT! Of all the people I know making content, I can only think of a small number who could handle the street work one time. Let alone as a day job. It takes a special person with the thickest skin and the calmest mind to handle the reality of Canada's decay on the ground. The insanity of policing trying to control or even understand the worn and torn threads of our shared societal fabric. It can only be observed on the ground up close and personal. Not to mention the many violent masked people who will then spend their lives (not exaggerating) tracking you and trying to hurt you one way or another. That's the reality of a street reporter in this political time. Perhaps both the living room commentariat and the man on the ground add value to the national conversation but clearly it's the person on the ground doing the hard work who is taking the most risk both to their physical safety and to their freedom when threatened by law enforcement and other malevolent legal actors. They are the closest thing that any of us have to a voice. Their questions are our chance to be heard in the most raw and unfiltered form. That's why we followed them. And that's why they were so successful. And that's why they were banned.

Whenever this conversation comes up, people often forget or intentionally leave out the IMP stream of foreign workers. The IMP (International Mobility Program) is both easier to exploit and much larger than the TFW program. Any solution must commit to basically eliminating the IMP as it exists today. It's unsustainable and provides next to no benefit to Canada for its consequences and costs. The TFW program must also be eliminated except for specialists like nuclear scientists and space doctors we can't find anywhere else in the country. This announcement by Tim Hortons is, by the way, a tacit admission that they could have hired locally the whole time. I wonder to what reasonable degree this statement should cast doubt on their previous applications for foreign labour where they would have reported no ability to find local employees. Hmm.

Tim Hortons says they'll hire 10,000 locals and cut back on temporary workers. They've damaged their brand and they know it. They disregarded Canadians looking for work when it was convenient for their bottom line. Now they're trying to save face. There's a lot of work to do to fix the immigration crisis in Canada. Companies like Tim Hortons have played a huge role in damaging our immigration ecosystem. Let's see how far they're willing to go to make things right.

@Nncim15 @0xDustinP Donald that's extremely disrespectful to say man. I don't understand why you would say something so rude especially after how nice Chris has been to you over the years. Attacking someone's appearance like that out of nowhere is uncalled for.

The loss of Chris Dacey in the Ottawa area has been a net negative for journalistic coverage in Canada. From street level questions of the leaders of our country to the most candid on the ground coverage of protests in the national capital and surrounding area, Dacey brought a unique and valuable perspective to the national conversation. His videos often went viral around the world and with good reason. While I wish Chris well in his new life, I mark the occasion as a great loss to accountability and journalism in our country. Few people are willing to do what he did and stand up to the abuse that comes with raw and uncensored journalism of the nation's most powerful people and the most violent and unhinged protesters. Canada's frayed social fabric is rarely seen through the unfiltered lens of cameras like Chris Dacey's, especially with the skill he wielded it. Another example is Caryma Sa'd in Toronto who is subject to horrifying abuse for daring to show the reality of civil unrest on the ground. Canada's activist journalist lobbying groups are quick to support those who post from the safety of their living room but are silent on the real physical abuse directed to journalists covering political causes those groups often align with. Caryma and Dacey are some examples of the extraordinarily small group of real journalists and reporters who remain active in Canada. They stand without state support, unlike the vast majority of Canada's media, who are state subsidized, and often without the support or worse even despite the targeting of law enforcement who would rather single them out than deal with the bad actors blatantly and proudly threatening public order and Canada's social cohesion. Cheers to the brave truth tellers like Chris Dacey who endure the abuse to show the reality of Canada's painful decline and civil unrest while speaking truth to power eloquently and with humor. I will always cherish my time working with Chris and am sure we have not yet heard the last from him. But until we meet again my friend, thank you for your years of good work and resilience.

If Kerry-Lynn Findlay doesn't win, especially after all of the shenanigans against her, it will be more wokeism, cronyism, decline and failure for BC. The province needs a real conservative. Findlay is the right choice for British Columbia's future at this pivotal time.

I'm asking all my followers from BC to vote for Caroline Elliot. I am not a British Columbian, but what happens in BC matters across the country, and I want the conservative movement to be as strong and as focused on positive change as possible from coast to coast to coast
Sandhu@RRSSandhu

I’ve done my part. My number one choice is Caroline Elliott. Now it’s up to members who want a leader focused on affordability, public safety, housing, and defeating the NDP in the next election. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

It's worth noting that @chrisdacey experienced a well deserved meteoric rise on Facebook before the platform banned his account (I believe it was for "drugs and violence" or some such nonsense on a video he reposted of a possible crime. It's worth noting those types of videos are a very popular category on Facebook and many big accounts never suffer for sharing them.) He was doing so well that his Facebook coverage was providing him with a livable income before being unjustly taken away. Who knows what good things he could have been able to do with the money he would have otherwise still been earning in a fair and just system for his hard work. But one such consequence could potentially be the loss of his critical voice in this time of media sycophancy for the ruling Liberal party. A small but important detail in this story.

Kerry-Lynne Findlay is the only conservative running to be leader of the Conservative Party of BC. Here is why I think she is the best pick to be BC's next Premier: junonews.com/p/bexte-bc-con…
