Tonight: renewables (solar) obviously 0%. Wind 3.96% and just 1 GW out of an installed capacity of 30 GW (so we’re getting just 1/30th of the hoped for output from £Billions in turbine investment and grid infrastructure). Burning of pelleted North American forests, transported by diesel 🚢 across the Atlantic (and called zero carbon!) - 5.5%. Gas 60%, Nuclear 21%. The failure of #renewables is clearly shown up during fine weather & often long lasting high pressure sitting across the country in the coldest depths of winter. Can anybody explain how this is a sensible approach to energy reliability and security?

I’ve had an increasing number of emails regarding this matching my own concerns about this odd @WHO proposal that seems to have just appeared. I’d welcome a statement from @sajidjavid @DHSCgovuk to explain what this means & 🇬🇧 approach to it.

Perhaps @IsleThanetNews or @KentNews_Online you could ask KCC or @RSPManston what the likely costs are and what the increase in our council tax will be going forward. Let’s not forget there will be the initial costs of road improvements etc and then the annual maintenance costs.
