@Arrivou Don’t think that’s an option I’ve ever seen considered and there’s bad impacts no matter what direction you go in. Go further west and you cut the Western Gap and wreck Ontario Place! Going west only doesn’t eliminate the need for a jet blast barrier, or wind impacts.

@cloudsec9 @NoJetsTO Wrong. The GTA will be 15 million soon. Pearson cannot handle the capacity. The half of the GTA east of Yonge St. to Cobourg has grown massively. North Pickering has existing rail line for Airport GO Train, 407 is to the south of the land and Scarborough Line 2 ext. close by.

We've ALREADY had a many years discussion about jets at the Island airport, & TO residents were generally against it. It's also not "no planes at the airport", just jets.
