Ignoring the circumstances around how Cody’s AEW run played out to say that stip and this one are the same is being obtuse. Cody’s stip was not inherently bad. The refusal to ever go heel and follow up on the stip left it as an unfinished story which likely won’t happen here. 4/4

The response to the Hangman stip is so funny. It gives you a ton of interesting creative options of where to take his character, a character who’s generally been thought through in AEW, and they’ve already started asking the question of “who is hangman without the title?” 1/4
