Try telling to a New Englander that gerrymandering is a Republican method. 🙄 #TaxationWithoutRepresentation

BREAKING: After years of financial struggles, Hampshire College will close after the 2026 fall semester. I obtained an email sent to the college community this morning that confirms the board of Trustees have voted to permanently close the experimental institution. @WAMCNews

PA Governor Josh Shapiro: America should never allow itself to be bullied by Israel @GovernorShapiro: “America should never be led around by any other nation. It should always be about America's interests, our national security interests. We should never, ever be bullied, as maybe President Trump was, by any other world leader.” @Jason: “Why did he do it?” Gov. Shapiro: “First, Rubio went out and said he did it because if we didn't move then, Netanyahu was going to move and it was going to force our hand. Then they walked it back. He said seven or eight months ago that they destroyed their nuclear capabilities, and then came back seven or eight months later and said we had to go in because we had to destroy their nuclear capabilities. Then they said it was about regime change. Well, great. I mean, we went from an 80-something-year-old Ayatollah to a 60-something-year-old Ayatollah, who by all accounts, seems to be far more hardline. I'd hardly call that successful regime change. I don't know how you answer that question because the president never answered that question. He never sat in the Oval Office and looked the American people in the eye and said, ‘This is why we're going in.’ And you know what? This isn't semantics. This isn't politics. If you don't know why you're going in, you don't know how the hell to get out.”

Ranking the New England states 1. Massachusetts (Boston, Berkshires, Nantucket, The Cape) 2. Vermont (Northeast Kingdom, Snowmobiling, Skiing) 3. Rhode Island (Newport, Block island) 4. Maine (Skiing, Bar Harbor, Portland, Saco River) 5. New Hampshire (Just go to Vermont) 6. Connecticut (Kick them out the league)

Crossroads/United Way execs: “The proposed Providence rent stabilization ordinance is motivated by a real and understandable concern. But research from cities across the country shows that rent control and stabilization policies often produce unintended consequences.”

"Sometimes I even feel like saying: Don’t tell anyone about Pittsburgh because they will come here, too. They will come with their developers, with their business hubs, with their armies of obedient functionaries." publicsource.org/ukraine-war-as…

You also don’t walk out of college or university expecting to buy a new 4 bedroom house, two cars, boats, skidoos, etc. The reason you struggle is because you aren’t willing to wait and make do like we did. Your entitlement is causing you to struggle.

My sources state that there's been a massive spike in crime after the new mayor has taken over city hall . especially the midtown, south area. Sources state some in the mayor's office is trying to dictate how the commissioner runs the police department .

I talked to @NiemanLab about all the ways the cost-cutting measures by USPS makes running a newspaper difficult niemanlab.org/2026/02/terrib…
