Scottish government’s Glen Sannox ferry, built and owned by the state, began serving the busy Troon-Isle of Arran route in January 2025.
It was seven years late and four times over budget.
It is now out of action with engine problems.
It only returned to service last week following previous repairs to its exhaust system.
It also needs new propellers as part of £3.2m repair costs, along with its equally troubled sister ship Glen Rosa.

@TeamTrump47 Best of luck to him. Whoever he took out deserved it.

🚨 WHAT IS GOING ON IN AUSTRALIA?! 🇦🇺
They just arrested Ben Roberts-Smith, their MOST decorated Afghanistan War hero, over alleged war crimes.
This is the same man who earned the Victoria Cross after charging Taliban machine gun nests to save his team.
And now this is how they treat him?
I spoke to an Aussie veteran who claims the government even funded campaigns in Afghanistan encouraging people to come forward with accusations.
🤔 Meanwhile, when are the Taliban holding THEIR own war crimes trials? When are THEY being held accountable?
Something feels seriously backwards here.

English

@damekatydenise_ 🤔 Depends, would he take it up the arse? He looks like he would.
English

@Robbie_Reasons No further time due to time served on remand. Pair of violent, inbred, cnuts!
English

@damekatydenise_ Carol Vorderman would give you a run for your money, you old skank!
English

@TheGriftReport She's a hot fucking mess, nothing will fix that cnut!

Angela Rayner has gone on the wagon, dramatically cutting back on booze (possibly quitting altogether) as her leadership ambitions against Keir Starmer turn deadly serious.
Friends say the former deputy PM is cleaning up her image to prepare for a potential challenge, especially if Labour crashes in the May local elections.
The one-time party girl famous for her lethal “Venom” cocktails, Ibiza vodka raves and boozy late-night rants, has been turning down drinks at events.
She’s still tangled in the £40,000 stamp-duty tax probe that forced her to resign last September.
Could you imagine her as Prime Minister?

English

@LeeHarris Not a new issue, the 45s have been plagued with this from the outset. The shock is that it hasn't been rectified.
I'm no maritime design engineer but how fucking hard can it be?
English

@Outsiderjoel The Yanks get a medal for flying over Northern Ireland because they class it as a warzone 😉
So why not bling this gal up 🤷♂️
English

Who can believe anything she has to say after telling us the bondi massacre wasn't religously motivated??!!
Melinda Richards 🇦🇺🇺🇸@goodfoodgal
She has more medals than he does. Looks like a joke to me…
English

@YesterdaysBrit1 I spent the morning handing out rifles/bayonets. Slept on a cutlass box in the back of an 8 tonner before taking back rifles/bayonets. Pleased to report all present and accounted for 🫡 ⚓
What a pair of cunts these two proved to be 🙄
English

@BenGrahamUK The use of the word 'The' is superfluous and reveals a basic c ignorance of maritime knowledge.
It's HMS Dragon, FFS!
English

The HMS Dragon has been forced back to port because it can’t produce fresh water.
This is the Royal Navy that once ruled the seas.
Now it can’t even handle the basics.
We’re becoming a joke on the global stage.

🚨 BREAKING: UK warship HMS Dragon has been forced to withdraw in order to be repaired at port after experiencing issues with its fresh water supplies
English

@HiddenHistoryYT The most graceful frigates we ever had, more than worthy to be named after the Gods.
English

HMS Aurora on the sands at Millom, Cumberland, UK before being broken up, Sept 1990.
HMS Aurora was a Leander-class frigate of the Royal Navy (RN). Like other ships of the class, Aurora was named after a figure of mythology, Aurora being the Roman equivalent of the Greek goddess Eos.
In 1987, due to defence cuts, as well as manpower shortages, a common problem for the RN at that time, Aurora was decommissioned and sent for scrap 3 years later. Arrived for scrapping 6 September 1990 at Millom, Cumbria.

English

@NavalInstitute Spare a thought for those who served on the Raving J (Juno) and Bottingham.
English

Today is International Beaver Day. In 1998, Royal Navy sailors wrote a letter to Navy News to complain that HMS Beaver and other warships named for "fluffy animals" were bad for morale. The sailors believed that "inoffensive, soft and cuddly and occasionally downright dull" names prevented them from making a strong impression on other nations. #InternationalBeaverDay

English

@LeckeyNigel @AllisonPearson @BBCNews Too many saps going in there with trivial injuries/illnesses that their gran would have laughed off.
People these days are desperate to have their hands held and get a bottle of sympathy pills off the NHS.
English

@AllisonPearson @BBCNews The NHS is fine as long as you don’t become ill!! I went to A&E after an Angina scare, with pains across my chest. I was seen by a doctor after 4 hours. Do you believe this is acceptable?
English

Amazing. @BBCNews has found a man who only waited an hour to be seen in A&E.
“You gotta be proud of our NHS.”
Get lost with your Socialist propaganda!
The NHS is not a first world health service.
English

@Gaynotqueer1 Nice of them to let Lo Brow get involved and lecture Girl Guide's parents about what's really important here.
English

@Arsenalgeekguy @MiltonicMindset @afneil Yes, it's in port as the OP clearly stated Einstein, but hopefully ready to put to sea soon.
You and the other fucktard clearly want it back in Pompey so it can protect the Gosport ferry.
Energise your balls if you ever had any, Dumbo 🤡
English

@NobbyHall6 @MiltonicMindset @afneil If only you could pull out a brain cell.
HMS dragon already pulled out Dumbo.
It's in dock ,energise your two brain cells and catch up.
English

Well there’s a surprise:
HMS Dragon, the only Royal Navy warship deployed to the region during the conflict with Iran, has taken to port for maintenance.
The Type 45 destroyer, the only one the Royal Navy had available, headed for the East Mediterranean weeks after the fighting began — and took its time getting there.
The Ministry of Defence, which originally denied any problems, now says there are water supply issues. So it’s gone to a safe berth to undergo repairs.
No doubt the full story will emerge in the days ahead.
English

❓ WHAT WILL HAPPEN TONIGHT
Iran says it is prepared for “all scenarios” after threats from President Donald J. Trump.
First VP Mohammad Reza Aref claims: “National security and infrastructure sustainability are the subject of our precise calculations… No threat is beyond our preparedness and intelligence.”
Trump warned: “a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” if Iran refuses to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 8 p.m. EST.
