@awsumpowers Not making ends meet on a resident salary is another good one. These are topics not easily shared with leadership and often don’t have solutions, but require continued systemic change in one form or another.

@awsumpowers I worry this is too easily answered with one good ex. of how a major tragedy in life was handled (i.e. death of a close family member). it’s important to discuss more everyday events/states of being - dealing with depressive fatigue, loved one with substance abuse issues, etc.

I’m post - call today and enjoying a deep dive into internet rabbit holes. Might be one of the things I miss getting to do as a resident. So interesting where the Google takes you!

sooooo unless something changes and I find a subspecialty I love, I don’t think I’m a surgery girlie 🫠 I hate not seeing patients awake consistently and am missing the educational piece of medicine a whole bunch.

@CterminiPhD 😈 I think people are tired of me announcing my kidlessness and enthusiasm for staying this way. I get the “are you sure?” All the time..but I like announcing it without being asked when discussing life endeavors. I hope it promotes kidlessness as a normal option.

@AdenaZadourian While most people’s intentions with advice are good, too many provide advice without appropriate insight. The plight of not matching is something that MOST have no concept. I wish more people would stop and listen instead of constantly offering ill-informed advice.
