As long as teachers continue to volunteer for extra-curricular e.g. drama, sport, music (let’s face it, more often than not, these activities are often dumped on non permanent, newer teachers scrabbling for CID/permanency) then teachers will never be taken seriously. #edchatie

There will be no cuts to SNA teachers from Sept - the next school year, it’s been decided at a meeting of Gov leaders tonight. Schools already granted an SNA increase will still get them. A review of allocation for the 2027/28 school year will go ahead

@eric_nelligan Some medical courses reserve 75% of places for foreigners actually. Worse than the 50% you mention

This is welcome and badly needed, should have been added years ago. Are the 1100 places being kept solely for CAO applicants? Some of the current medical course have a greater than 50% of places reserved for international students.
