Imagine if a white actor decided to play Michael Jackson, Barack Obama, or T'Challa. They're saying The Odyssey is fiction. So, Black Panther is a comic book. Can a white person play Black Panther? Helen is one of the most important characters in The Odyssey. Her beauty plays a huge role in the story. She was Greek. Casting a Black actress ruins everything. She's a good actress, and people may find her beautiful. But that's not what Helen of Troy was like. Woke Hollywood is destroying thousand-year-old history.

I’m cool with most of the casting. Travis Scott whatever. The multicultured soldiers whatever. But why is Helena played by Lupita and why is Zendaya playing Athena. Like do we really need to race swap greek mythology? It’s like race swapping jesus and then ask why ppl are put off.

The Odyssey is a fictional story. It never happened. Helen of Troy was the daughter of Zeus and Queen Theda. Zeus came to Theda as a swan and Helen of Troy was hatched from an egg. Homer never used the word XANTHIS (fair haired) to describe Helen. Sappho used Xanthis to describe Helen 300 years later. And again, this entire story is made up. Homer never even refers to the Trojan Horse as a horse. Read a book.
