I wish more superhero movies were as sincere and earnest as the Raimi Spider-Man movies. No irony-pilled quips and comments, no breaking the tension with jokes, no one pointing out how "absurd" everything is. It was like watching a play; if the characters believed, you believed.

@bigmonkeong The reason why Joker works as a character is because they stayed true to the character. The ambiguity behind his backstory, his love for chaos, and his obsession with Batman. Even his costume wasn't messed with and is true to the comics.
