BREAKING #JoeSibanyoni #BafanaSindane The NPA has filed an application for leave to appeal the order of contempt of court against the prosecutor in the #JoeSibanyoni and #BafanaSindane and others in the case . The appeal is also against the warrant of arrest authorized against the prosecutor. The reasons for the appeal we understand are that the NPA believes that the presiding magistrate erred in convicting him in his absence. #sabcnews

After getting off, they walked on foot towards the man’s home in the Mbuto area. While walking through a wooded area, the man allegedly pulled out a knife, threatened the woman, and raped her in the forest. After the attack, while the suspect was still nearby, the woman managed to send a WhatsApp message with her live location to her family, alerting them to what had happened. Police responded swiftly and found both of them still at the scene. When officers attempted to arrest the suspect, he allegedly pulled out the knife and attacked the police. Officers shot him dead.
