Good news for your local brewery: we’re extending alcohol excise tax relief for 2 more years. That’ll save Canadian breweries up to $90,000 in taxes this year.

Q: If you were Prime Minister, what would you do about securing the Strait of Hormuz? Pierre Poilievre: My goal would be to massively increase production and shipping of Canadian oil and gas.

It’s April 1. The industrial carbon tax is rising to $110 per tonne today—120% higher than when we last faced a major geopolitical energy shock during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Make no mistake. This will amplify cost pressures across the entire food supply chain. No April Fools’ joke, unfortunately.

REPORTER: "Do you think the NDP is still a party for blue collar, working Canadians?" POILIEVRE: "No, the NDP... have an anti-rural, anti-working class agenda. Over the last 10 years of NDP-Liberal policies, we've seen the working class completely screwed over."

I see the SK NDP is already desperately trying to distance themselves from their new federal leader and his radical policies to shut down our oil industry, nationalize just about everything, and destroy our economy. The problem is - that’s like a McDonald’s franchise saying they don’t want to sell hamburgers - the SK NDP is part of the federal NDP. It says so right in their constitution. So Avi Lewis’ destructive policies are now the SK NDP’s destructive policies.

If I didn't know this was the NDP convention I would have honestly thought it was a Monty Pythons sketch. Absolute nutfuckery!

Like I wrote in a recent @nationalpost column, "Sure, Lewis will win small pockets of support in Canada if he becomes NDP leader. He may win a seat in Parliament. But the irrelevant NDP will likely become even more irrelevant under his leadership." nationalpost.com/opinion/michae…

My fav lines: "Maybe Canadians can be convinced that they desperately want Canada Post managing their produce aisles. Maybe the electorate is finally ready for a platform where your weekly ration of locally sourced lentils is delivered by a government-appointed bicycle courier."
