@SteelFirearms Literally personal choice unless you want a light. My personal would be the 226 though, very comfy in the hand

@AlexCaswen @KatDoes3D Red dots still have a perceived "projection," just with a generally higher parallax. Despite being captive, they still stick out enough that if you adjust your viewing angle, the dot will be ~close~ to the same spot. If it felt painted-on IRL like in GTA or smth, they'd be trash

@KatDoes3D This technique should only be used for Holographic Weaponsights, for red dots it should be stuck to the glass That’s how they work in real life

Here's why your optic's reticle needs to have depth, and not just have the reticle stuck to the glass. Both of these animations are the exact same. The only difference is how far out the reticle is being rendered. #b3d

@Dude_Brahmin @St1ka Nah if we're absolutely curb-stomping a team with or without my help, there's no sport in it. I get competitive as hell, and annoyed when skilled opponents seem to be "harassing" me, but close games are almost always the best unless I'm on the right side of a good, crushing push.

@St1ka "Its not fun for either party" bro shut up, super competitive players LOVE stomping other players without a care in the world if theyre similarly skilled or not. Thats always been the case.

@MrProWestie Attachments feel like they could be unlocked faster, but that's mainly because the ones I always want on a weapon are hollow points/synthetic tips and suppressors. If at least one variant of these were unlocked by level 15-20 for each weapon, I think it'd be more than reasonable

Weapon Progression w/ 2XP active in Battlefield 6 finally feels like it's worth activating your Hardware tokens. Progression without 2XP active is still a little too slow in my opinion.

@AleIaq_MSE @Battlefield6hub This whole idea of gadgets treated "recharging class abilities" really shouldn't have made the game. Sure, some items can regen, but no need to highlight it with a fixed ULT button on screen making it feel more gamey. And they DEF didn't need to expand that to gas masks and NODs

@just4leaks2 Co-op was an underrated (minimally utilized, to be fair) mode in BF3, glad to see it return here. Hopefully this bodes well for Portal, if users could create their own missions the possibilities really would be endless.

@agalwaybird @Hijinksss @just4leaks2 I was really disappointed to see how shallow the "limitless flexibility" of Portal mode was. The first thing I wanted to do when they announced it was create PvE experiences with custom win conditions, like raid missions. Very glad to see them adding a mode like this tho

@Hijinksss @just4leaks2 Casual Breakthrough exists, but yes this is a decent addition. Just wish they made Portal playable solo with bots, even if they disabled XP gain.

@GravityXIII Full agree. I hope they see those responses, because mortars aren't the only issue that'd be solved by opening up the maps, and allowing mortars in spawn might end up making mortars unfairly good in BT... As if support needed more reasons to be the only-used class in that mode

@ChadHillyard @BattlefieldComm Thank you for explaining this so well! That is exactly the issue. Much like how simply adding more vehicles to BT maps turned a 1 balance issue into 3, allowing mortars in spawns creates more potential problems because of spawn rules. Shrinking spawn zones turns 3 issues into 0!

@BattlefieldComm The thing you are missing most of all is that you don't need to tune the gadget if the "playable area" isn't 40% attacker spawn, 20% actual play area, and 40% defender spawn. Your are misattributing this to the gadget's performance Hope this helps.

We've seen discussions on the upcoming Portable Mortar changes in 1.2.2.0, and wanted to dive into the intentions behind it a little more: Mortars are most effective when players have focused areas of engagement, so this change is primarily expected to impact the usage of Portable Mortars in Breakthrough. It can be hard to find spots to use this gadget on offense, which is intended to help open up lanes for the team to push through or clear up dense spots of defenders. At the moment, the mortars are primarily used on defense due to the flexibility of space allowing them to more easily bottle the offense up in their HQ or bombard a flag once the team on offense finally reach one. We want mortars to be a valid option to counter other mortars, but will continue to monitor if usage swings the other way and it becomes too easy to pressure defenders. Currently, we don't expect this change to impact Conquest or Escalation much, as the number of kills in those modes is currently very low due to the constant player movement they require. We're looking forward to your feedback on this and other 1.2.2.0 changes!

@SmojiiTTV You will not gaslight me into thinking intertia etc were bad choices. The opinions of movement exploiters can be considered in other shooters, thank you. Those changes were made YEARS ago, everybody here recognizes how dishonest it is to act like THOSE are the reasons he quit.

You advocated for every single change that is negatively effecting the current active playerbase. Saying you stopped having fun playing after these changes where implemented doesnt support those changes you pushed for respectfully.
Klean 🧽@Kleanisklean

There also seems to be this idea that I “added the weight system” “I added inertia” then “got what I wanted and stopped playing” Dumb fucks, I played Tarkov for years after those changes came in. I stopped playing because I was no longer having fun with the game. That’s it.

@nikgeneburn This definitely looks better either way. I would still suggest that, while magnified sights could even have the old version (simulating the PMC finding their eyebox), red dots or holographic sights should have basically none of this effect (because they're designed to be "quick")

@The_RedW0lf @Dun101Jr_ @RightScopee Yeah, it's just as you say. But as stated below, it's made a moot point by modern AR design; 5.56 barrels and .223 Wylde barrels can both run either round, and you'd be hard-pressed nowadays to find a .223 AR barrel that isn't a Wylde.

@NormandyShaun @Dun101Jr_ @RightScopee Arent they like slightly different like the 5.56 is technically a .224in? IIRC it was like a .223 round can be used in a 5.56-rated rifle but a 5.56 round can't be used in a .223 rated-rifle because of the pressure being too powerful or something?

SENATOR TIM SHEEHY: How many genders are there? HEGSETH: Two. SHEEHY: I know that well, I'm a "she-he (Sheehy)." What is the diameter of a rifle round fired out of an M4A1? HEGSETH: 5.56. SHEEHY: How many pushups can you do? HEGSETH: I did 5 sets of 47 this morning. SHEEHY: Most important strategic base is in the Pacific? HEGSETH: Guam. SHEEHY: How many rounds of 5.56 can you fit into the magazine of an M4 rifle? HEGSETH: Standard issue is 30. SHEEHY: What size round is the M9 Beretta standard issue sidearm for the military? HEGSETH: 9mm. SHEEHY: What kind of batteries do you put in your night vision goggle? HEGSETH: Duracell. SHEEHY: You represent what warfighters deal with every day on the battlefield. @Dun101Jr_ @RightScopee 5.56mm and .223in refer to the same round. Millimeters and inches can both be used to measure a bullet's diameter, but the army only uses one: Millimeters. The above question was about the diameter of the round, directed at a military leader. 5.56mm was the ONLY right answer.

The ergonomically perfect gun already exists, it's called the AR15. If you want to design guns creatively, for entertainment, you have to be willing to draw some weird things that don't make complete sense. If small-souled commenters call it "cursed," you're on the right track.
