@Crofter1798 @BrokenSkiesPG But what about a more radical idea. Everyone who can afford it pays for education. If you earn £100k and send your children to state school, pay £5k a year contribution per child. No need then for VAT and suddenly the £1.5bn becomes real.

@Northern_exile1 @BrokenSkiesPG Yes, no council or central gov should be paying for private places, it’s the parents bill. Labour also need to look at who is liable for the bill with the extra costs of send provision

@Crofter1798 @BrokenSkiesPG @ramonagusta The problem is the policy was ideological, not thought through, a SEND provision child costs tax payers £10k+, where a parent pays, that cost was mitigated. Lazy politics has meant league tables matter more than a child’s need, hence councils paying for private places.

@Northern_exile1 @BrokenSkiesPG @ramonagusta No issue if the parents decides to make that spend, but the bill should never be paid by councils or central Gov. Labours reform of send deals with the state school issue but yet to address who pays for the extra costs eg the parents or state to ensure no lack of investment

@BrokenSkiesPG @ramonagusta Explain how it’s subsidised. If a parent decides to invest in their child and send to public school it saves the state. It’s in no way subsidised, so many SEND children parents send their children because the state (both parties) have failed to invest in state SEND provision.

@ramonagusta For what? Stopping the taxpayer subsiding a parental choice to send their kids to a private school? It's one of the few things she's got right. Poor diddums will need to rough it with the commoners

@danielgoyal What absolute rubbish, 2003/4 under Labour in the PFI hospitals patients in corridors, no porters to take deceased to morgue. Waiting times topped eight hours. Desperate shortage of beds. PFI then swallowed budgets. Fact check before you post absolute twaddle!

Remember the NHS before 15 years of Tory austerity.. Same day GP 95% seen within 4 hours in A&E No queuing ambulances 92% specialist treatment within 18 weeks 85% started cancer treatment within 62 days It’s not the NHS model that’s the issue, it’s our choice of leadership!

@LeonardBriscoe3 No it was incompetence, if the exit deal had been properly negotiated and the terms clearly defined before the vote, then the decision on leaving/staying would have been clear. Tusk even said after the vote Europe had to punish the UK to ensure no other state did the same.

It is blatantly obvious that everyone wants the UK to rejoin the EU. The referendum was a sham, children could not vote and many adults did not vote at all, clearly meaning they did not wish to leave.

@DesmondSwayne Isn’t this a bit hypocritical while you sit in your parliamentary ivory tower with your grossly exorbitant taxpayer funded pension, that you want to remove the meagre level of pension for British aged.

There’s been a lot of talk about how Labour ministers aren’t qualified and have little experience relevant to the position in cabinet they hold So let’s look at one such example Bridget Phillipson She was born on 19 December 1983 in Gateshead 1/5 dailymail.co.uk/debate/article…

@TracyBrabin @UKLabour You are joking, your party forced the NHS into £30 bn debt with PFI. You removed special education provision for the most needy. You removed the investment into the northern powerhouse and regional assemblies. Oh and tax credits, that was Labours cock up as well!

@sirwg202110 As a barrister and a MP, it’s incredulous that you did no due diligence. The fact you attended an event out of hundreds means there was some form of opportunity, be it support or otherwise, yet unlike those you turned down, you attended without brief or knowledge. The facts stand

Ayoub Khan MP, a man of “integrity”, comes out swinging to defend his role in the Dubai property story — while being best pals with a solicitor facing trial for money laundering charges, buddies with extremist who leads death chants, attending a mosque led by one of Britain’s most extreme preachers, denying grooming gangs as a “right wing false narrative” and leading moves that got Jews banned from Birmingham.
Subversive Force@sirwg202110

When I posted (below) last year about MPs Ayoub Khan, Afzal Khan and Naz Shah promoting the Waada luxury Dubai property scheme, it looked dodgy. The Times now reports it’s run by Pakistani fugitives banned from UK over corruption and forced to forfeit £190m after National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation. Do the MPs statements match their enthusiasm last year?🤔 And Afzal Khan was promoting another Dubai scheme this week. See first reply.

@UKLabour But you now class your core voters as far right because you abandoned the working class for the scrounging class. Labour under Keir Starmer does not resemble or stand for the values or protection brought by Kier Hardie. Starmer is a modern day Cripps failing to arm a nation!

@andrewpakes_ How come when it was Christmas, you didn’t call out the masses of Muslims stating not to wish Christians Merry Christmas as it was Haram. Religion and State need to stay separate. All beliefs should remain equal and compatible with human values, equality, health and compassion.

@HumzaYousaf There is bias toward Islamic practice and public displays, the government both national and local are not applying equal coverage to other religions. The country learnt many years ago that state and religion need to be separate, yet we are redoing the mistakes of the past.

We all know why Nick Timothy MP singles out Muslims celebrating Ramadan in Trafalgar Sq. Not because praying is domination, but because he wants to blow a rabid anti-Muslim dog whistle for political gain. He should be nowhere near politics, let alone the shadow front bench.

@habibi_uk Please answer a question, why protest for a regime who if in their territory the act of protest would and has resulted in death? I’m not sure how protesting in the UK aligns to the Ayatollahs rule. Surely if you support and follow Irans regime you wouldn’t take to the streets.

@gorbalsgoebbels Labour hasn’t supported the working man since the coal miners strike. The tax on private schools doesn’t help the working class as the migration of 100k pupils costs the taxpayer more. Labour is about to decimate the parents income of SEND children in state schools.

Actually starting to think it’s the tax on private schools which has pissed off the Oxbridge elite and our media class. They’ve had it good for centuries. The wheel spins towards the working man when Labour is in power. And the rich do not like it.

@TPointUK @NickTenconi Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her" (John 8:7), ring any bells. If you are following Christian values why verbally abuse a child about his mother who is a SENCO and helps those children that can’t help themselves.

@NickTenconi you’re such a big man. Really clever calling a 16 year olds mother a bum, a woman who fights for and teaches SEND children. How does that inspire the same children you want to go on and set up chapters. Reverting to insults at a child, Charlie would be proud!
