Today, we sued @Harvard University for enabling and even encouraging antisemitism on its campus @AAGDhillon@SecKennedy.
The Trump Administration has been abundantly clear: any school that receives federal funds risks losing those funds if they permit blatant discrimination.
@NorwegianGopher@THEOttoJohnson Sorry I thought you meant player play style. But yes I agree with that. Someone that plays hockey all three periods. I do think there is a time to play the trap and it’s very late in the third but you need the players that can play that style as well
Raboin is familiar with the program and boosters, has a reputation as a tremendous leader who gets the most out of his guys, and brings continuity that can help keep some of the elite recruits committed.
He doesn't have the track record, but he checks a lot of boxes.
@GoferBender@THEOttoJohnson And I hope Raboin is that guy! I truly do! I’ll be cheering for his success. I’m just a little wary until he shows me he can do it. This program needs a championship sooner than later.
@GoferBender@THEOttoJohnson Conservative play lost us big games under Bob. Yes, balance is needed but aggressive and physical teams who don’t let up after getting a lead win championships. We can’t afford to turtle only to let the other team tie it up and then possibly win the game. It’s natty or bust here.
@GoferBender@THEOttoJohnson I know he had a big part in Snuggy, Cooley, Knies, etc. I hope he breathes new life into the program and doesn’t get up early only to go into a shell to protect a lead and possibly lose. We need aggressiveness, physicality, and championships. Anything less is unacceptable here.
@NorwegianGopher@THEOttoJohnson Hes not Bob 2.0. He knows this younger play style where Bob was stuck in his old ways.
Garrett had 10 players from either Europe or Canada on his roster. Hes not stuck with staying local.
When he was an assistant with Minnesota he had a big part in the snuggs/cooley/knies lines
@Banksy56@THEOttoJohnson I’m hoping all of my concerns will be quickly laid to rest, but there’s reason for people to question it and still hope for the best. I’ll be cheering him on to bring national championships back to Minneapolis.
@TwinCityHockey@CMielock@SchlossmanGF@chnews Id prefer Ferschweiler first since he’s gotten the job done. Then Id prefer Barr because he can recruit incredibly well and I think he’d have a ton of success with better resources at MN. Raboin is kind of in that same spot.
At the end of the day all we want is a championship.
As Pat Ferschweiler's name is tossed around as a possible candidate for the Minnesota job, and understandably so, here's a reminder that his buyout to leave WMU right now is about $1.9 million.
Prominent programs with alumni as HC:
Nightangale - MSU
Naurato - Michigan
Carle - Denver
Ferschweiler - WMU
Jackson - Nodak
Pandolfo - BU
Brown - BC
Sheahan - Notre Dame
Is it time for an alumni at the helm?
@TwinCityHockey@CMielock@SchlossmanGF@chnews In order.
1A) Ferschweiler
1B) Ben Barr
.
.
2) Raboin
I’m sure he would win a lot of games here but we need national championships.
