Angus Taylor has outlined the biggest difference in policy direction between the Coalition and Labor in years. And good on him for doing it. In his own words, “the fight starts tonight.”

WOW There are over 200,000 older Australians waiting for care packages. Labor has only allocated 32,000 for 2026-2027. That means labor will let 170,000 people die while they wait for in home care packages. If Labor #TaxTheGas these people would be saved. #LaborCrimeFamily

Tuesday night’s Budget was a big pro-supply Budget. We’re investing another $2 billion in housing enabling infrastructure - the roads, water and sewerage that actually unlock new homes. That brings our total investment in housing enabling infrastructure to $6.3 billion since coming to government, with billions more available. That’s more than the Coalition promised at the last election - and more than 50 times what they actually invested over a decade in office. They promised $1 billion. In the end, they spent just $123.5 million. And our infrastructure investment was just one supply measure in the Budget - we also took further action to speed up housing approvals and streamline construction standards nationwide. This could unlock tens of thousands of more homes and builds on our ambitious $47 billion Homes for Australia plan. We’re not just making promises - we’re delivering. New housing commencements are up 26% on this time last year. Real progress is being made. But we know there’s more work to do.

A highlight of the week. A little while ago Home Time reached out about subsidising community housing for people on youth allowance. Now it’s been fixed in the Budget. And yesterday Atlas and the team dropped in and gifted this beautiful piece of original blackout poetry art. Thank you for this, for your time, and for your advocacy.

So Israel bombed a wedding yesterday. Multiple fatalities. At a wedding. I guess they ran out of schools to target.

Surely we can do better than this? Despite 12 month+ avg wait times the budget didn't fund a single extra home care package. This report exists because of an amendment I negotiated to make govts more transparent & accountable. 48,000 older Australians are on a 'triage' waitlist - that's the waitlist to get on the waitlist for an aged care assessment to then get on the waitlist for a Support at Home package 🤯 Hundreds of thousands waiting for support. We have to do better. abc.net.au/news/2026-05-1…

Hey Albo! Can you explain why the Jewish community gets $604m and the Muslim community $24m? Or: $5209 per Jewish Australian. $29 per Muslim Australian. I'm sure there's a really good reason, so what is it?

If you voted for a Labor government, expect a Labor government. It might not happen overnight, but it will happen. 2019 policies were inevitable. Australians knew that in 2022 and in 2025, and they voted Labor for a better future.
