Today on my career side quest journey:
I’ve been curious about QA testing for a while but never really engaged. Then, I decided to try it in HNG 14 and then came stage 1. On paper, it was a simple task. Test a user registration form. Write scenarios, test cases, bug report etc
As a PM I was used to reviewing quality after. To catch what slipped through. But as a tester, you anticipate it before it happens. This was a big shift for me. Same qualities, but a different mindset.
Then the bug report. We were given a common one: A 7 character password being accepted when the is 8-16 characters. Best practice? Write it so clearly that a developer can easily reproduce the action and fix it without asking you a single question.
Imagine filling a form and you mistakenly input a number instead of a letter in the first name field. Small thing right? That’s where test cases come in.
I mapped out 20 scenarios, grouped each, stating why it could break, what category it belongs to and its severity.
My first instinct was to jump in and state obvious scenarios. But I had to understand the scenarios, split them to groups (positive cases, negative cases, edge cases etc.) and justify why they should be in those groups.
What if a single global event could erase decades of health progress, and your gender still determined how long you'd survive it?
I explored WHO global life expectancy data spanning 2000–2021 and the findings were surprising.

Graduated from UBA's Graduate Management Acceleration Program (GMAP) Cohort 20 and I genuinely don't take this lightly.
This is just the beginning of the best years of my life and I’m extremely happy for the opportunity.
